In this episode, we travel in our converted Ford Transit campervan, with our dog, to Maffra Victoria, Australia, where we camped on our friend’s off-grid property. In the episode, we show you places around Maffra where you can camp with access to a river.
We enjoyed a scenic drive along Maffra's tree-lined 19th-century main street and explored the town. While in town we visited the Gippsland Vehicle Collection Motor Museum, which has an outstanding display of more than 160 special cars, motorbikes, machinery, historic vehicles, and auto memorabilia.
We also enjoyed a bite at Maffco Brewery and Taphouse - which is a pet-friendly place to drink and eat Housed in the historic Saddlery and Grain building, Maffco oozes charm. Recently, the Maffco team has added their very own Maffco Lager and Maffco Pale Ale to their already stunning list of local Gippsland-produced ales, lagers, and beers. You’ll often find local muso's hitting the stage and bringing you some awesome tunes, while you kick back and have a great time there.
We enjoy part-time van life, creating weekly episodes that are live at 5pm (AEST) on Sundays, and sharing our experiences on our travels with our cavoodle, Twyla. In our episodes we stay at free and paid campsites, showing our tips and tricks for making life on the road easier and fun. Come join us on our adventures! As a solo traveller with 2 co-pilots (Chihuahuas) I just love towns that are so dog friendly! I will definitely be putting Maffra on the to visit list. Originally from Ballarat and now living in Saunaland (Queensland) I can't wait to get back to Victoria! Such a beautiful State.

Im always working when you guys are live but just taking a sneak peak. We camped outside the motor museum, they were most helpful.👍

Wow I grew up in Maffra and used to ride my bicycle from half way out to Newry to Maffra and catch the bus to Sale for school. I did this for years and then moved to Stratford. That area is my old stomping ground. One of the brewery owners lives opposite my parents now.

Hi Guys Karen and Mark here Kare - have just watched the latest episode. A great one. Adam I love a lemon line and bitters but make mine a tonic lime and bitters and I also get it in a wine glass makes it not so big. 😂😂 Loved all the places you visited in this one and we loved the car museum. My first car was the Datsun 240K I saw there. But I had a green one. Great work n the video and hope to be back on live next week 😊

The weather is getting warmer guys and we had an extended family weekend get together recently near Heyfield and noticed there was 48 hours very nice free camping in town.....The Railway Hotel is great and there is quite a few things to see in town.
