This game really has those 'shoot this, go here' secrets.

Amazing that a game that came out same year as Vice City had this level of detail. You couldn't find a GTA with this level of detail till GTA IV

A few ones from the top of my head: -The trigger that makes you "learn how to steal a car" is actually the car appearing in Salieri's Bar. That's why you can't steal the Trautenberg and Cort 812 in Freeride (you leave the first one in Palermo Club, and the second one near the Museum). This way, you can learn to steal all the cars without even starting the new game! Go to freeride, shoot a black gangster car, take their car from them without killing them, let them steal a civilian car, kill them, take the stolen car to Salieri's Bar and park it near the entrance to the garage, save the game at Salieri's Bar (you need 2k$), exit, load - voila! You have just learned how to steal this particular car + it's stored in Freeride Salieri's Garage which you can't enter without exploits :D. -There is a hidden door in Freeride (Works Quarter) that unlocks all game modes. -Random civilian drivers sometimes carry baseball bats or Colt Detective Specials with them. -There is a cool way of getting to hard to reach places using an exploit. Park your car near a wall, making a 45 degree angle, walk into the center of the angle, if you did it correctly, then Tommy will start to gain height. You can then step on your cars roof and jump from it to a preferred spot. For Example you can enter Salier's Bar during Freeride, but watch out because you won't get out! -Just For Relaxation is full of Easter Eggs, you can do it in a multiple of ways. You can do it by yourself very fast when the guard is peeing, engage in the whole subquest with the workers, or you can even kill everyone there if you feel like it. -The Whore is also a mission where you can steal the key by wiggling yourself on a table behind the receptionist. When you steal the key, Tommy says the same words that he normally tells to the manager and he escapes to his room, lol. I'm not sure if they didn't patch it out... Also I think there is a secret weapon (knife) in one of the hotel rooms. You can stealth your way through the whole mission. -You Lucky Bastard's last car chase is heavily scripted. So much that Morello's Lassiter can go through some solid objects without stopping. Also, while getting to the docks, you can shoot a gasoline train car to kill the two snipers on the cranes. Don't come close, because the explosion radius is very far. -Creme De La Creme can be completed in another way, you can have a faster and stronger car that overpowers Morello's limousine and gets him stuck somewhere on the grass. You can kill him right there. There will be no secret cutscene. It all depends on the way you enter the Countryside loading zone. -Omerta, killing the guy in the phone booth near Frank's family prevents the cops from coming -Ordinary Routine, Paulie sometimes gets stuck "imitating the sidewalk" after exiting the Pompeii Bar -A Trip To The Country, I can't say what I did to make it happen, but on the last chase you can get the enemy car stuck, so that you will witness the whole drive to the city in the back of the truck. Happened once to me, it was probably a cool little bug. -Better Get Used To It has TWO ending cutscenes. They depend on the way you end the chase. One is triggered by their car breaking in a scripted scene, and the second one is when you kill them during the chase. The cutscene that plays shows their car crashing during a chase (cool cutscene btw). -Great Deal, besides the fact that you can find some grenades and wreck additional havoc, during the chase it's better to get out of your crappy car, kill the gangsters on the parking lot, and then drive to Salieri's Warehouse. -Fairplay, I'm pretty sure that during the racecar engine swap part of the mission there are ZERO cops on the streets, You can go as fast as you like. Cheers!

There's also bug in Molotov party - if you steal Falconer from garage and manage to get to Salieri without any, even small, crash, Ralph will not tell you about sorting out the car and you'll still not be able to get in it ;)

It's there another secrets in the moonlight mission, once you get the caveu and steal the money, after the cutscene if you turn back and interact again with the money, you can collect some extra!

Ok, few new I see, but - that's not all! In free ride U got few cars to find. Salieri's Lassiter at floor parking at Works Quarter, truck in magazines, Apolyon near Hotel Corleone. Next secret - You can unlock freeride extreme without ending game. It's hard to say where is it, but I try. In freeride you need go to works quarter, where is a trolley loop and go to south, to the T cross. Go straight to the yard, when u see door in cut-corner. Then - go to left, to yellow door (they looking like background element) - and press use key (when you got (!) ) - that's it! - full freeride and extreme is unlocked Next secret - in mission "election campagin" you can see broken motorboat - when you can shoot to elector (look right side on water) Next secret - in mission "at roofs" (Correct? I have polish version) you can escaping... without police. How? At start, you go straight to end of roof, not to stairs. When you hear police sirens loudly - wasted. Then, in the end, you need to go right - to boulding with these stairs. Jump to cornice and go to left. Watch out to NOT falling down (better go and crouch). Go to corner, then next corner. At second corner, one or two policeman try shoot you from street - kill them. When you go ahead, you have stairs on right side - jump on it and.. just go. Durning rest of mission u can see just one policeman - but he do nothing

I played Mafia a lot and only knew about Morello alternate deaths and women that fight back. Actually there is few more deaths of Morello. He can be shot and killed while chasing his car. He can crash and die while on route to bridge. And maybe one more way to die I cannot remember. I was amazed how many possible scenarios are in this game.

There is another one secret in mission at airport - with Frank propably, but i'm dont remember, im not sure - there is one guy who calls for cops, if he will be killed, there will no cops when Tommy will going out from airport

Butterfly effect and cop chase are by far the most impressive. Depending upon the heat, cops PIT manoeuvre your car, ram into or try to force you stop by quickly getting ahead of you, and ofc the type of gun, they use.

This game is legendary!!

That's funny that the hidden car in Molotov party was made a part of the story in the remaster. I never knew about the car in the original and when I recently played the remaster I was thinking weird I don't remember stealing a car in this bit why'd they add it. I guess I was wrong.

There is another fyi. If you attack Luigi in the Salieri's Bar, he instantly takes out a shotgun and tries to shoot you.

Fun fact I managed to kill morello at the gate of the airport by shooting him when he used his window

In the dock mission when Sam takes the Lassiter V16 or in the parking lot chase mission you can get in as passenger and do a drive-by with Tommygun or Shotgun.

1. I always killed the guard in Molotov Party and blocked the door with the box and threw the Molotovs into the bar at the front door or placed a car in front of it so they were trapped and I destroyed their cars with the baseball bat without any stress lol. 2. You can also enter the councilor's room by letting him complete his speech and following him back to his room and entering it while it's open. The guards will start to kill you. 3. There is a hidden car in Hoboken behind all those houses and wooden barriers. You can see it on your radar. You place cars in front of the walls to climb them and jump over it. I think you can even get the car out by driving in direction of the railway. I forgot if this was in Freeride or mission though.

I’ve done a couple of these on the missions cause I only have it for regular Xbox, so can’t do all the hacks, I never seen no one else talk about the butterfly effect, I thought I was the only one lol, Znd on “job just for relaxation” I always sneaked up on the guy p e eing and knock him out, you have to time it right cause of the other guards walking around, I actually never knew you where supposed to help the other guys load up the truck on the dock, so I think I figured out the easy way haha

I allowed the bookkeeper to flee with the airplane. I was surprised the airplane was shot from the sky. In Mafia 2 i ran in on that same bookkeeper.

My FAVORITE thing Ive seen yet in game isnt even in this video by the looks of it. Id call it a true easter egg. The Gemini Lounge for anybody who knows anything about Mafia history.... Well, in this game you can come across green box trucks that are branded as a "Gemini" named company. Im absolutely positive that cannot be "coincidence" in this game. I laughed so hard when I seen it. You can find them in ordinary traffic randomly driving around. Cant believe that easter egg "didnt make the cut".
