Magazine Pages Made Easy: My First art journal Page of the year!

Have you ever tried cutting out images from magazines and using them in your art journal? This was my first attempt and will for sure not be the last. I think I found a new way of art journaling that I will continue with. Let me know in the comments if you use magazine pages in your art journal and if so which ones are good to use.

Yes when I first started making mixed media I took images from discarded books and magazines both. Then I added in other items broken jewelry dried flowers scraps of fabrics the background similar as yours. I also tried using stencils and stamps and texture and ribbon and Lace made a few junk journals and pockets with them as well. Now I'm making collages out of them in different ways too as I'm letting my inner artist out in my Elder years. It's great fun I'm really enjoying your art process the first one I saw was your art nouveau which I have also attempted previously along with art deco for a friend art Journal. Then I discovered your gesso page and learn so much. I love stamperia perhaps down the road I will purchase some. Their images are fantastic. I subscribed to you and I'm sharing your works on one of my Pinterest boards as I enjoy your thought processes and variety of style. Subscribed now I'm going to check you out on Facebook too.

Wow thank you for the wonderful comment! This is one thing I love about art journaling is how it brings people together and we can share our ideas. It's such a supportive group. So happy you found my channel and you are enjoying it so far, that made my day:) Stamperia papers are my go to patterned papers. I remember when I first discovered them and would buy them but I could not bring myself to cut them up lol. Now it's my favorite thing to do because I agree the images are amazing. Magazine papers are new to me so I would like to explore that further. Same with gel printing, I don't have a lot of experience but having fun with it. Junk journaling is a world I have not gone into yet but never say never!
