Oh god oh god oh god, those flooooweeeeers!!!! I simply fell in love, and the same with that mansion! How gorgeous that is, and the well preserved garden, just overall amazing! And that huge tree… ah… I don’t find the words, the fountain, the area, big big like!

Every time i see one of your travel videos i become to realise that despite having lived in England and did a road trip a few years back, we actually haven't really seen a whole lot of this beautiful country. So many amazing places, no exception with these lovely gardens. That popping plants seems quite interesting, haven't seen one of those before. (The red one i think we did) Natura is just amazing everywhere one goes. If we ever go back to England, we'll have to bring you guys as guides. And then we show you around here in Costa Rica, plenty of magenta flowers here too. 😉

Diane and I need to go to the UK just to see gardens like these. We love gardens that look mostly like the native lands around the area where the garden is located and are left slightly wild. That attracts the native wildlife.

Wow, Hidcote Garden is like a fairytale land, it is so gorgeous and looks great with those thatched cottages too. And I loved the grassy island in the pond at Kiftsgate, I would absolutely love to do some yoga there!!! Thanks for sharing such a lovely video again Dara!

Dara, there's just no end of lovely things from this tour! Hidcote is absolutely stunning! I especially loved the "rooms" with their colour themes. Did you also manage to find a bunch more magenta poppies in Kiftsgate? And the themes of the beautiful architecture and landscaping at Sezincote was unbelievable. This was just a breathtaking tour. I can see why you're so taken with the Cotswolds. Thank you for this!

I do love cottage gardens! Plenty of Magenta flowers in there! We loved the water feature at the 2nd garden. So clever, a really unique design - drilling leaves. Senzincote house looks so grand!!! Loved this xx

Thank you for introducing me to two garden I have never heard of. I have visited Hidcote which didn't disappoint. I felt I recognised Sezincote garden which stood as a London park in Poldark.

Yesterday we watched an interview with the chief gardener of Versailles and they showed footage of the gardens of Versaille. although they are huge, well maintained....I definitely prefer the English gardens, full of flowers blooming everywhere.

Triple the gardens, triple the fun! Hmmm... you're much more graceful than we are. No doubt we would have botched those stones and gotten wet in the process. And magenta poppies seem like something you would have invented yourself if they didn't already exist in nature. Yet another lovely excursion, as always! I'll start with the last garden: Wow. What a gorgeous theme garden. We too call those round 'tops' onions as well. Many churches way up north in Fryslân have them. In Frisian the onion is called a "sipel" but that's another story. I couldn't help but notice the children rolling down the steep slope. How wonderful an activity is that. I'd also like to cool my feet in the pond. The English do have a natural talent when it comes to garden design and make good use of the lay of the land. The choice of colours and flowers always seem so apt, logical and a perfect selection made. I am so pleased I was able to walk through these gardens with you both. Loved the couple selfies. Gorgeous. Beautiful use of water you can have too many water falls and fountains. The colours of the gardens are really beautiful and now winter and spring are fighting it out the flower beds both public and private are coming to life. We have three cherry trees waiting to explode with pink flowers. The birds take the cherries which are bitter and not sweet like the ones in the shops. Do you do Easter Bonnets in Texas? my mum in law is having ten of the girls (74 - 87 years of age) around on Good Friday. They've all made bonnets we have a prize for each best in show and all that. A bottle of champagne for the best chocolate eggs for the rest. A few of the families are coming, to keep an eye on them. I'm making a cake, chocolate with Cadbury flake to look like a nest in the middle filled with small eggs and a few fluffy chicks. I hope you and your husband have a marvellous Easter. Andy.

I love the quirky third one in this vlog. Y'all keep putting more places on my bucket list, and I thank you for that. In my travels in the UK I like going to these kinds of places that show just how vast and powerful the British Empire used to be. It's vastness at its height has always amazed me considering the size of the island that had that much power and wealth. It's history is not necessarily a happy one for most of the people back then except for a small amount of it's subjects but it's really interesting.

Ooh, didn't realize poppies came in magenta, too! (at least I, Stephen, didn't). I like your description of there being kind of "separate rooms" within a garden, grouped by color. And I'm nuts over the little 1789 sundial. The sheep in the pasteur is such a beautiful and idyllic scene! And the popping plants - crazy cool!

What a lovely, sunny way to spend a cloudy day in Pennsylvania! I have not visited any of these gardens so far, but I must say that Kiftsgate is spectacular. That water feature with the dripping flowers and the little island in the pool are simply magical!!! What fun it would be to spend some time there sketching or painting. Ooh, the curved paths at Kittsgate are quite the nice contrast to the geometry of Hidcote (which I always really like about gardens). The pond with the island and dripping stems is so lovely and tranquil, but that area with the pool, trees, and the home is just stunning!

That's why many believe its God's own county. Absolutely stunning. Xx

You'll have to do a trip to Exbury Gardens in Hampshire ( best through May ) a Magenta paradise ( other colours available )

Although Sezincote House is really beautiful, I don't really like this "imported" oriental style of masonry work. It is surely amazing in its "natural environment" (India) but I always think it looks grafted when used elsewhere. Just like the Egyptian obelisk in the center of Paris. But as always to each their own. 😉

I think Kiftsgate is far nicer and more relaxing than Hidcote. I think Hidcote is too formal and austere, those tall yew hedges are a bit too much. It's also scary when you can't find your way out! I've been there twice and don't find it a very comfortable place to visit.
