My goodness - I needed this tonight! I have a 14 year old boy and he is such hard work!!! There’s something every day - almost knocking a front tooth out, broken braces, he was actually lighting bits of paper in his bedroom tonight because he’d seen his friend do it! (How he’d got a lighter is a whole other story). He’s a gorgeous boy - very loving and kind hearted but he is disengaging with school, looks like he doesn’t listen, is so scruffy it’s embarrassing 😂 and is forgetful and disorganised hugely. It’s been an awful year - my dad is going through cancer treatment and life in the UK isn’t great right now (we’re okay compared to others). I found your blog and then clicked onto this channel. How you’ve explained things makes so much sense and I actually cried listening to you because shouting at him doesn’t work and I know he’s upset too. Thank you 🙏

Thank you Maggie - I'm Mum to a 13 yr old. He is a kind hearted cracking boy but yes I feel the gentle push back that he is giving me....quite sad for me as we have always been so close....we still are but in a different evolving kinda way...I am so happy for him to use his wings and start flying...I just remind him to be safe, use his better judgement in difficult situations and most of all have fun!

Thank you Maggie, you've explained this stage so wonderfully..I am a person full of anxiety normally so the slight yet normal changes in my son's behaviour have been causing me stress..Your insight and expertise has set my mind at ease and given me some wonderful parenting tips during this stage of my son's life...xoxo

Maggie, hugely inspirational & insightful. My 15 year old has been an open, communicative, dream of a child, but we are now having monumental issues with our 12 nearly 13 year old who is proving to be challenging on all levels, but your advise I have tapped into but will be more consciene to impliment moving forward. He is a spectacular individual who has the best qualities any one could ask for, but just making some poor choices with peer pressures. Let's hope your advise works for our family!
