Any physical object placed in your listening room will have some kind of effect so they might work to some degree. Work on the room and your speaker placement and your seating position before chasing the endless tweaks. Dedicated power outlets, high quality power chords and interconnects and speaker wires, will fine tune your rig. Move your speakers again and again to get that bottom octave just right and work up from there. If the bottom end isn't right, you'll never be happy. Good weight, impact and slam are a must and then work up the frequencies for fine tuning has worked for me these 73 years and my hobby for 55 of those years.

i feel sorry for " some " of those audiophiles who forgot to ENJOY LISTENING to music but rather technically analyzing the sound. .
@sidesup828621 күн бұрын
That's a fiction. Listening more analytically is listening closer, and with riveted attention listening, you hear all kinds of things that you probably wouldn't notice with casual listening. When a reviewer is reviewing a piece of equipnent, he listens in a very analytical way, but since part of the evaluation is "Did the gear invoke emotions and was it fun to listen to;" even reviewers listen in a fun enjoyable way to the equipment. WHERE IS THIS GUY that people picture that analyzes every note and misses out on all the enjoyment?" This person only exists in the head of commenters who want to believe that people with equipment way more expensive and way more enjoyable than theirs, is not able to enjoy their music. They probably enjoy their music a lot more than the people who exaggerate on how much analyzing is really in their listening.
@OCDHIFiGuy15 күн бұрын
Lol. Know how you tell ? Attempt a music conversation with a gear Junkie. They fall flat. It's totally embarrassing.. then you know they are a poseur with gear.

I haven't seen these in a while. Jon.... Scull reviewed these for Stereophile thirty years ago and it looks like they're sold out of a home in Pacific Palisades. I used to write off stuff like this but now I keep an open mind. About a month ago I put back a tall piece of African art(I collect it). I call it "Big Bird" and was positioning it on my fireplace hearth by the left speaker. When I got up to reposition it from my listening position as I was listening to music, I thought the sound of my system changed. As I rotated it slightly I could hear subtle changes. I was so surprised I had my other half make adjustments while I sat listening. Now "Big Bird" has these long wings on its sides that could easily reflect sound, so I can understand (somewhat?) how it can affect sonics. I'm not sure how those squiggly pieces of wood do what they claim they do but it apparently does something. Also, from what I can tell, see, if there is any science or objective statistical scientific research was applied, the company is about as forthright as,,,,, say, a "Peter Belt" product is(remember him?). I actually have a folder in my desk of some of Peter Belts Foils, Cream, Pins, and whatnot. I wish someone like Richard C. Heyser was still around. He might have been able to explain what's really going on or not in these products
@OCDHIFiGuy12 күн бұрын
It's simple reflection. Same as Big Bird, just different shape. Im gonna dose your squirrel right now and tell you to be correct, you need 2 Big Birds, one on each side of the rig. 🤪

@fernandomgomes18116 күн бұрын
Exactly. As you certainly know, to get even better results in that regard, it’s recommended to get the flagship three way version, equipped with two types of garlic, one for the high frequencies, the other for the mids. A variable number of onions is used for the bass. It’s never too much to remember the common practice, used in the very high end audio systems, of sacrifice one or two chickens in the middle of the speakers to keep the system free of bad spirits.
