The fact that this topic is still pulling people in weeks later underscores how big a mistake Draymond made on this one. I have the feeling this is going to be an inescapable part of his legacy. Poole is a better one than me. One of us would have to get up outta Golden State. I couldn't continue to work with a co-worker that sucker punched me in the face.

Well, with the benefit of hindsight your point appears pretty prescient, most games GS looks like a shell of itself and non-descript rumors of “chemistry issues” have circled them all season. Considering that prior to that punch the Warriors appeared to be the most cohesive, selfless team since the 2015 Spurs I think it’s fair to say that wound hasn’t healed (metaphorically). However, in my opinion, it wasn’t so much the fact that the punch was thrown, but rather the fact that there’s video of it which got put on social media. Without that video the team can just spin the narrative simply as “Draymond and Jordan Poole got in a fight” which probably doesn’t even make national news. Sore feelings would remain I’m sure, but it would’ve been much easier to bury the hatchet.

I've seen the opposite these days. People now want you to forgive and move on. The reason why I don't think Poole should forgive Dray is because he could have seriously hurt him. Thankfully he had enough wit about him to grab onto Dray when he got clocked because if it would've been head straight to floor? That's a whole nother issue. Poole should forgive Dray because it's the godly thing to do, they said Jesus didn't hold grudges so neither should I. But I guess it all depends on the person. If JP feels he can move on, then that's what they'll do.

How is the incident worse because a video is leaked? I don’t understand. Isn’t the punch the main issue, whether we saw it or not? I do agree with Magic’s take. I have always loved how Magic says maaannnnn…. Draymond was wrong and things will never be the same. I saw it on the court in the playoffs (2023) when Poole snatched away from him when he tried to hype him up (which was crazy in and of itself). That's just the point tho, they don't have to be friends. They work together, it's a job. Long as they both do they job then friendship is irrelevant. I work with several I'm no friends with but we still do our jobs.

@@joonpak They do there to do a job, not make friends. That's what's wrong with alot of workplaces, we don't go to work to make friends and play around. We're tasked with assignments and we get compensated for our work. Just cause they play a children's game doesn't mean it's any different from any other job.

Yea but the thing is with this situation it isn’t just some regular workplace it’s the NBA and they’re trying to win more championships. Draymond has always been a leader on that team but it’s hard to look at him as a leader after he did that especially if you’re Jordan Poole. Normally I’d say yea you right cus yes you don’t gotta be friends with all your coworkers I’m certainly not but this is no normal situation
