Los Angeles Lakers host the Seattle Supersonics in the last game of the 1989 regular season. Featuring Magic, Big Game James, B Scott, Coop, Ace and of course The Captain! X-Man has a great game for the Sonics as does Dale Ellis.

@@Hydrogenations Top 3 forever. Nobody has a better resume than Kareem, MJ, or Bi11. Sort them however 1-3, but those are the GOATs. Wilt, Magic, and LeBron have arguments to be in that list, imo those 3 are fighting for that 4th spot. Nobody dominated and won at basketball more than these guys did

@@BigYARK I don't know about my man Bill though, he's a Top 5 player for sure but I'd put Wilt at 3 but I'm not sure. Bill was an amazing leader and lead his team to those 11 rings, but Wilt was also THE TEAM in itself. ( before the lakers of course )

Scariest things that could happen to a team : 1 - Kareem getting the ball down low. 2 - Magic getting a defensive rebound. And they both played on the same team.

I remember the year Kareem lost all of his Jazz albums in a fire.2 months later,Kareem,with tears in his eyes,thanked the fans for sending him Jazz albums to replace the ones that burnt up.Kareem didn't realize how much he was loved by the fans until that happened and ever since then he had mellowed when dealing with the fans as even he admitted he was never to nice to them before experiencing their generosity.

I'll never forget Kareem's last game and the fans all falling into a chant of 'Kareem, Kareem', etc., etc.. It had, what struck me, as an almost religious cadence to it. Impressive. I was trying to find it here to listen to again, but was unable to.

Yes they were. Kareem was an ancient 42 but they swept their way into the finals. Magic and Byron Scott got hurt and Kareem was just too old for the Pistons front court of Mahorn, Rodman, Salley and Laimbeer. The Bad Boys were one of the greatest teams ever. It should have been a much closer series.

Kareem didn't have more help than Lebron & Jordan. In this video, yes his team got him back but the fact that he is 41 here & still played better than most players were. During his prime time, He only had Magic & worthy. Wilkers was okay but he made them look all good. LeBron has played with 4 all star & Jordan had 5 all star players in his team. Kareem > LeBron > MJ !

You could easily make a strong case for Kareem as the greatest. 6 MVPs, 6 championships, and the greatest offensive weapon (The Skyhook). Kareem was able to succeed while playing against the likes of Chamberlain, Moses, Elvin Hayes, Olajuwon, Walton, Parrish, and Reed, Unseld, and Cowens.

Something called, teamwork.. oh and unselfishness... oh yeah and fundamentals and uh yeah professionalism. Things that have been added to today's game: less grown men/more young kids, players who only care about money, referees and commissioners who favor the "stars", ESPN shoving MJ down our throats, hip hop artists and music running rampant at games, players who care more about bling and fashion than they do about practicing their weaknesses, twitter, snapchat, instagram, facebook. I could go on..... The 2 worst things that ever happened to the NBA are: Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless.

No way he was the greatest center of all-time: e.g. Moses Malone tore him apart in the 1983 Finals (Moses 103 pts and 72 rebs vs. Jabbar's 94 pts and 30 rebs in 4 games). Wilt Chamberlain is the greatest center (and player) ever, Bill Russell the best defensive center ever and no. 2 center. Moses Malone no. 3 center, Kareem no. 4.

"Monstrously good"? You just can't use the word "good" anyhow in the same sentence with Magic Johnson. Even "brilliant" is not suitable, "brilliant" players are Barkley, Kobe.... Magic is best described by, hm - "Magic"! Simply it's magic.
@153Catman11 жыл бұрын
The Bulls had Jordan and Pippen. The Lakers had Magic, Worthy, Scott, Jabbar. The Bulls had defense. The Lakers had defense AND OFFENSE. The Lakers would have won every time. Even the Pistons had more high-scoring offensive weapons (Thomas, Dumars, Dantley) than the Bulls. The Celtics had Bird, McHale, Parish. The Sixers had Moses, Dr. J, Toney. They all had D. Would have all beaten low-scoring and low-talented Bulls (e.g. Big Mo would have eaten Cartwright alive). Golden&unrepeatable 80s.
