Best memories listening to the score when I didn't have it on TV

The Pistons were THAT close (they most likely should have won game 6 of this series) to being the 1st team since Russell's Celtics to win 3 in a row.

As a Bulls fan, you knew what Kenny and Hakeem would do. The guys I feared were Maxwell and Thorpe. Mad Max played Jordan so well, you wondered if he ever was a Knick or Piston. Thorpe could keep Pippen and Grant in check. I couldn’t watch games from The Summit. I was always afraid the Bulls would lose, and they normally did.

first of all... WTF kind of question is that?😂 and it also means pelinka and jeanie buss dont know what they doing still trying to figure it out one or the other gotta go

3 peat. Not many college coaches even come close to two straight.

Terrible look for the silent culprits Jenny Buss Curt Rambis and Pelinka. You media pawns love to use LBJ but we all know this wouldn’t have been an issue if they would’ve hired Ty Lue from the start and not low ball him on the contract and try to pick his staff.

Bird's body simply wore out. Diving for every loose ball like a rookie trying to make the team, the physical inside game of that time. Most people don't know that Bird gave up millions to not play the next year, even though he could have part-time. He thought he wasn't giving the fans his best and would have just been playing for the money. His back wouldn't let him sit on the bench, he had to stretch out on the floor, and he was often in traction overnight until game time.

This game shouldn't have ever happened, the Pistons were robbed of a championship in game 6 with the gift foul to Kareem.

Maybe one of two boneheaded plays in Jordan’s entire career (at least with the Bulls). That was some ‘Not So Air’ Jordan. As a young Laker fan in Greater Los Angeles, I remember watching this game on KCAL Channel 9, and when Jordan missed that dunk, longtime Laker play-by-play announcer Chick Hearn went nuts 😂

@2:47 in what world is that basket interference? The ball was completely out of the basket. Maybe in real time, it looked a lot closer to the refs.

Good win for the Twolves. That team i don't think had EVER been over 500 in a season and finally was shaping up for them. Meanwhile Chicago was going into yet another title defense for 'The Last Dance and started the year bad (for them). They were starting to get into a rhythm, had a much better record than Minnesota and were STILL playing without Pippen. Big win but... they celebrated like they won a playoff series. 😂😂 The next game for both teams? Minnesota were flat and lost to the Celtics. The Bulls were hot and Jordan TORCHED Ray Allen and the young Bucks for almost 50. Jordan had this thing with destroying new 2 guards and he kept it up.

I remember watching series like this when I was a kid and when I go back as an adult and watch these types of videos it is truly remarkable to realize how good the modern players are compared to these times. The worst NBA team of 2024 would annihilate the best NBA team of 1984 and it would not even be close.

I forgot about Dantley. Even though he and Thomas didn't like each other, i love how, on the very first Pistons possession, Isiah gave it straight to Dantley for an inside score.
