I am just blown away that they managed to scale down light of freedom to this size and make it work. Even if some of it is a pain, they payoff is well worth it.

I'm pretty sure that they designed this guy first and then upscaled that design for the MP. I'd love for them to give some of their other figs the same treatment.

I love your use of the term combiner wars as a verb. This thing is insane, good gravy. That leg transformation looks amazing... and kind of exhausting.

Pretty impressive that they incorporated so much of the mp version in such a tiny figure. Not for my collection but good figure from the looks of it.

This just might be the perfect Prime for the office. I feel like it has a presence and a sense of maturity in the design. Not like the cartoon, but what the cartoon meant to me, but then again the master piece scale of this guy is the perfect prime in my opinion.

That was painful to watch, man. Did you tf that thing a few times before the review? It is tiny, so I'll cut you some slack. I don't know what's up with the copy you borrowed. It comes with a pair of short stacks for bot mode and a pair of long stacks for truck mode. Should only come with one white open hand for their Ultra Magnus to use to shake hands with OP (whatever that's from.). Also, the axe actually stores under Roller in the cutout. I see a lot of people bitch about the plastic on these MS dudes, but it's chosen to be super durable and also have a matte finish. It adds some nice contrast when they add silver accents or glossy paint for the windows. Also, no worries about stress marks or cracking. I think the trailer connection is an acceptable trade off to keep the legs looking good. It works perfectly fine on a smooth surface. There's not much else I could hope or ask for in a mini Prime.

The white hands are for Ultra Magnus, so they can shake hands.

looks like a mini MP10 on top and the MP sized magic square prime in the legs. it works!

The torso transformation is really similar to a downscaled mp1.

Great review thanks! Is it a little loose though? Just like with the MP, I wish you could buy the cab with just the gun and axe and leave all the other crap and have it be cheaper.

I believe the repaints like nemesis, shattered glass, dead, and metallic only come with the hand accessories no trailer. At least I know the shattered glass one doesn't and the repaints are all about the same price.

I like this TF, Magic Square did an excellent job but after seeing what New Age did with Megatron I may wait until they release an Optimus Prime if they ever do ofc. At the same time this one is so good that I may not be able to wait. Thanks for the review.

I still can not understand why they do not make the pelvis of Optimus, be the front bumper in truck mode, and not two different pieces. The rest is perfect.

Hey Bobby, Stretch here from Australia ', long time listener/ viewer, first time caller/ commenter... Firstly, big fan of your passion for all things 'out there' especially Transformers and Starwars.. In fact you've motivated myself to start collecting Transformers again. Find I've got the cash to do it properly and have made my first couple of purchases through TFdirect and Sourse.. While I'll always have an interest in G1 season 1&2. I have a massive hard on for IDW now, thanks to your constant endorsement of said such.. So one Question.... best places to start looking for MP style IDW Transformers...? Thanks for your content and keep rolling man...!!!!

Hey man, I know you asked Bobby and not me but I thought I'd just let you know about an Australian website called saviers toys that sells figure at great prices. If you go to the website then go to the 3rd party section and find the mastermind creations (mmc) part that's where you'll find the idw masterpiece figures. Hope this helped

If I purchase this figure, I have to transform this figure with steady hands because the figure is small and I do not want to break any parts.

I do think this figure is amazing to get but I do not want to get this figure because for me, I do not want to break it. There are parts that are too small and may break when pressure is applied to it. I hope Magic Square can make a Voyager-sized version of their Optimus Prime. But other than that, it's amazing.

Overall it looks like a good figure, but I really hate the dull "chewy" plastic that MS uses, it really does kind of kill it for me. This is the main reason why I prefer both MFT and New Age to MS.

I won't change my regular Quietus. But if I had to choose initially between the two, I think I would buy FT-29T. And I'm feeling kinda upset about the whole situation

sonofabitch ahh crap yeah that sucks when another vers comes out that you prefer. i like both Quietus’s but i’d hang onto my blue one if i had to choose. it’s just too radiant. they did do a nice job coloring “T” like the 86 toy. & the legs pink looks better than the white. if they decided to make his “abdomen jewels” (so to speak) Red instead of Orange, then i might be mad! lol. i think it would look better matching Sovereign’s Red Jewels (so to speak)

interesting transformation but war in pocket dutch looks much closer with cartoon based mp 44 partly on the protruding chest panel and body/hip skirt proportion. this light of freedom op is kinda too blocky for my taste. also that black shoulder extension looks unsightly.

Dutch is MP-44, but out of shape. MS-B18 is so much better than Dutch due to it's articulation and engineering. It is a literal mini Masterpiece, while Dutch is a sub-par Legends class figure.

@@Levi_52_336 while i agree on the articulation.. i lean towards each own display aspect more..how it looks. this light of justice chest to hip proportion is laughable. it also has unsightly flaps protruding on the side of his arms. i wouldnt call that a mini masterpiece. i wouldnt agree on the engineering either. dutch' foot transformation is spot on in terms of cartoon look accuracy. plus his flipping front truck panel converts his robot mode to mimic his cartoonish angled chest. thats extra engineering effort compared to lazy traditional same truck/chest panel thats been done over and over again.

@@heavyhitter5538 Because Dutch's wide torso is better. Both are lacking in the truck bed department, while MS-B18 has a cohesive truck cab.
