I bought the magic keyboard 2, Magic Mouse 2, and Magic Trackpad 2 at the same time, and I must admit that the trackpad truly does feel magical. The keyboard is pretty great too, despite just being a keyboard, and the mouse feels like a normal mouse with a couple of extra features. The trackpad is the best of the three by far!

After using the mouse 2 for over a year, I had an intense 4+ hour video editing session that left my hand nearly crippled.. had to learn to use my other hand to work for a few days and finally got the trackpad to see if that would help. So far so good!

I liked how quickly I got to the most important info and how I asked the audience to subscribe I learned about the products i was looking for but I also learned how to make good KZfaq videos and ask the audience to subscribe. Great work bud! Thanks a lot

Brilliant review, I had the Magic Mouse 2 but it made my hand cramp up really quite badly so I sold it and bought the Magic Trackpad 2, I'm so glad I did it's great.

I despise the Magic Mouse, but I absolutely adore the Magic Trackpad. I use my Mac for music production with Logic Pro and game development with Unity and Rider, with a little bit of Photoshop

i have been using tracked only for several years now and recently got mx master mouse from logitech. I am so used to using only a keyboard and trackpad for my iamc, the mouse is more comfortable for longer and complex tasks such as editing 3d models. Thus, for day to day stuff, the track pad is amazing and so fast to navigate, for longer and more complex work flows, i use the mouse and place the trackpad on the left and use it in sync with the mouse

Liked the video. I have magic keyboard 2, Magic Mouse 2, and magic trackpad 2. I use my MacBook Pro mainly for productivity. Love the keyboard, love the trackpad. I only use mouse when I am traveling due its form factor. Because I don’t use my mac for gaming, I have found no discomfort with mouse. With that said, I still prefer my trackpad more than my mouse. You may ask why I just don’t use the trackpad on my Mac? To me, it is a little small. Magic Trackpad gives me so much more real estate to work with. That is just my two cents. Keep up the good work!

I just bought my first Mac computer, M1 mini. I am familiar with Mac because of work. I absolutely love Apple products. Apple's Trackpad 2 is what I am going to go with. I will however, buy the magic mouse for traveling. Thanks for the work you do!

One thing you missed about trackpad from development POV is selecting a pretty large text like say while coding. I find mouse being far more easier to select code than trackpad.

I am definitely buying the trackpad. The mouse is really badly designed when it comes to the ergonomics. I get a terrible pain in my index finger from it... I've never had any pain from using a normal mouse. Apple mouse is just too low so the hand hovers over and the finger strains incredibly. I'm disappointed - I've just switched to Apple from Windows and expected a solid experience. The only thing I like is flicking left and right which is very useful when editing videos.

Great video! I just got a Magic Mouse in white at the beginning of this week. So far its been a decent experience all though I haven't used it for extended us just yet. The glass is smooth for the most part and I've kinda gotten accustomed to the changing in positions I need to do in order to use it thus far. Overall the Magic Mouse is not bad but the trackpad on my Mac, which is identical to the Magic Trackpad, is far better imo.

I found the Magic Trackpad to be too big for my needs and space at times, oddly enough Looking forward to some Magic Grips helping with a Magic Mouse I’m about to try out. Hoping it works because the gestures are nifty

Great video, thanks for getting into it straight away and clear explanation. Would have been great to match the video up to the audio a bit better please - it was sometimes confusing/distracting when the audio did not match up with what was being shown. For example at 1:10 onward, when you discuss the mouse, you say that its like any other mouse but the video is already showing the mouse's gestures - leading me to think, "are you saying the gestures are like any other mouse" before then realising what was going on. Consequentially, as you describe the gestures, the video does not show this which is disengaging when describing abstract/uncommon features, such as gesture controls on a mouse. Not being mean - hoping this critical feedback can help you improve! You've got great production quality & potential!

Love this, man! Great video quality and production value! Definitely subbing. For the longest time I was using this really old apple mouse that had a tiny ball instead of a scrolling wheel so you could scroll in 2 dimensions. I remember that it also had one solid piece of plastic for its surface and I found that a problem when I would accidentally center it right click when I want to right click. I can imagine that would also be an issue with this mouse as it’s even smaller. I just ordered a few ball mice to replace the apple one that finally broke down, but if I had to choose one I would definitely take the trackpad

the mouse is pretty but if you're going to use it for long periods is going to hurt your hand a lot, even more so if you have big hands because the mouse is small, is really hard to grip it so you end up doing that just with fingers and the palm of the hand is kind of in the air wich after a few hours lets to a lot of muscle pain

I compared these two in Apple store today. Love trackpad better for sure.

i think the ergo issue isn't an issue, it's just for different use cases. Like gaming would be easier on the mouse than on the trackpad

Hey! I got two questions! I am now using Apple’s keyboard with numeric pad in White, I was able to get it cheap through somebody. Would you recommend buying either the mouse or trackpad also in white? I was thinking about the mouse in Space grey. I don't understand how 9 hours of battery life is great. That means I have to recharge every day. For comparison, my Logitech MX Master 3 has many weeks of battery life. I might consider the Trackpad 2 though.

I have several unused versions of the trackpad. However, the Magic Mouse does not like to tell me if it IS CHARGING. As in, the little battery icon and green lightning bolt we expect to see? So there is no way to know while charging the "magic" mouse if the lightning cable even works. And, do you know what notorious means? I beg your pardon, do you 'literally' know what notorious means?

think the Magic Mouse gets more hate than it deserves. I have both the Logitech MX Mouse and Keyboard Combo and The Magic Mouse and Keyboard combo and thanks to apple's design, the magic mouse combo will always be my choice when I need to get work done in record time. There will never and I mean never be a keyboard and mouse combo as fast as the Magic combo. I even have a mechanical key combo and that has to be my slowest combination. So in essence, Speed = Magic Combo; Comfort = MX Combo; Clicky-Clack = Mechanical Combo

My magic mouse finally stopped functioning (doesnt connect / loses connection often) after 2 years. I keep on banging it on the desk to get my connection back, any tips how I may get it to work? It seems like a hardware issue. If I cant fix it, I wonder if it'd be worth buying the trackpad
