Just as a note to add to your video, you CAN'T find space gray models anymore at Apple (or BestBuy) anymore. They discontinued them completely, it's only the white mouse and regular gray trackpad. Great video! Quick and to the point.

I just found your videos today!! I have a great feeling you are going to become huge!! Because you explain things in such a way for super newbies like myself to understand. I could watch 5 videos on the same subject and your video makes the most sense! I subscribed and liked your videos so hope that helps! You are great with your videos and I'm excited to watch you grow =) ..if I was to give one suggestion (since you asked for it) I would say that while you are talking have more cut away videos of you using the products and show how it's being used on the screen just while you talk so that we have more of a feel and visual for the products you talk about. Thanks again for awesome videos!! =)

I grew up using Windows and wired mouses so when I switched to iMac I hated the wireless mouse because there was no restriction or tether that would keep my hands from wandering all over/beyond the table space. I've considered the trackpad (I have a MB Pro and love the trackpad) for a while to pair with my new Mac Mini and your review really helped. Thanks a bunch!

You probably did not dislike the mouse becouce it is Wireless but becouce Apples Magic Mouse is literally the least ergonomic mouse in the world

hey thank you for the info, I was thinking which one is the better choice for my work (PhD student) and now I definetly know that it is the trackpad, even it is a little expensive but I think is more convenient than the magic mouse, at least for me. Regards from Mexico.

Good useful video. I have recently switched from Windows to Mac M1 Mini with Monterey so I can use Final Cut Pro. I have the Magic Mouse and have learned to use it fairly well. However I do want to ALSO buy the Magic Trackpad and am wondering if I can have them BOTH installed and be able to switch from one to the other, depending on which program I'm using. Please let me know if you happen to know the answer.

I do use both. However, I do find the trackpad works even better on FCPX where I could zoom and scroll horizontally more conveniently on the trackpad’s larger surface compared to the smaller touch surface of the magic mouse. Productivity wise, I find myself adapted well to the trackpad in most of the use cases. The magic mouse now acts as a portable option I leave in my bag when I travel to client offices. I do also have a Logi MX Master 2s sitting on the shelf reserved only for occasional light gaming - the only time where I could adapt to neither the trackpad nor the magic mouse.

I disagree that it is a flaw with the apple magic mouse because Apple designed that so people won't use it while charging and it makes sense because why would people use a wireless mouse charged then that contradicts the purpose of being wireless mouse.

I'll NEVER get the lightning complaints on the mouse. You just said 2 min. for 9 hours of use. Why would you destroy the design, just so you could save 2 minutes? Also missing the gesture features that don't come with 3rd party mice. I used both, but what I got wrong at first being in love with the trackpad, is how limiting it is to have the Pad in a solid state, while a mouse can feel much more liberating when for instance using the computer while laying on a couch or whatever.. Both peripherals are fantastic, depending on the usage..

Magic mouse is way better for carpal tunnel compared to MX master, wrist angle is lower, and it's good with claw/fingertip grip

Thanks for the review. Definitely go for a trackpad. I use the 3 finger gesture a lot and that's not gonna work on a Magic Mouse.

Charging port on magic mouse 2 doesnt bother me because I charge it rarely. Battery lasts forever.

Hi, how were you able to have two different monitors where the second display is different from the first (not including your laptop display)? I have been trying for 3 years to do this with Macbook. I have no issues with my work pc and can move between screens with HDMI and a laptop docking station. Have not figured it out with Macbook. Thanks!

What is the core difference between buy-in a $79 apple Magic Mouse & the Logitech Pebble 350 or for that matter any bluetooth mouse which are available between $14-$28. I would to pair it with mu MacBook Air and iPad.

Hey man, it’s been 3 months since this post. I’m struggling with wrist pain from my mx3 and heavy video editing. I have one 32 inch monitor. Is the track pad still working for you with video editing?

I recommend the trackpad. I have pretty large hands which makes using a traditional mouse damn near impossible without feeling like I have the fingers of an 80 year old man lol. I find it so much more comfortable to use the trackpad
