Haha Tereza! I had in fact, been questioning myself whether to get the MX Master 3 but since it is quite expensive I haven't made my mind. I bought the MX keys recently, and had been looking for a bundle since I have had a G502, which is a gaming mouse but has a very similar design as the Mx Master 3 but after a few years it started dying. I am happy you have kept with the good video production.

Thanks for your recommendation of using them together, makes a lot of sense. After I started feeling pain with the trackpad I had to switch to my mouse again, but now I have started using them both depending on the use or what I need, for scrolling documents and zooming, the trackpad is great, so I switch my hand between both.

Great video (love the 911 on the desk BTW)! Just moved away from the Apple Magic Trackpad and keyboard (have used the original and gen 2 for years) to the MX Logic Master Keys (non-mechanical) and Master 3S mouse. The biggest difference for me is true, mult-device connectivity (not universal control). I use a work MBP and a personal MBP in clamshell connected to dual monitors (not at the same time). When I want to switch machines, I had to forget the Apple devices from one machine and then connect to the other machine (became a PITA) every time I made the switch. Now, I have three devices connected to the LT keys and mouse. All I have to do is press a button on each device to select either my work machine, personal machine, or ipad. Also, the typing experience is so much better than the Apple keybord too (IMO). The mouse pretty much has all the functions of the Trackpad...but in a mouse. Which surprised me. Apple looks good but seems to be falling behind on the actual tech itself. Like anything, it all comes down to what you need / want. For me, the LT products win hands down.

I restore old photos in Photoshop and I actually use both at the same time. The trackpad is on my left hand, because I rarely use they keyboard. My most used shortcuts are on my mouse, so I don't need to press too many keys. Both are amazing products and either of them will be a great investment.

Beautiful reviewer and beautiful review. I do have MX master. But was thinking to get a trackpad along with the mouse. I think zoom in and out is easier with trackpad. But I guess will manage with mouse for some time.

Very nice comparison - I have both devices as well. I love the trackpad and used it for a long time and then when the MX Mouse came along, I fell in love with it. I use the MX mouse both at work on a Windows PC and at home on my iMac. On my PC I use the software and the USB dongle however on my iMac the dongle would loose connectivity and the software seems to not work well at all. So I just use the BlueTooth connectivity with my iMac and it works very well. I now wonder how you feel about the MX Keyboard? I use the one for Windows and love it. For my iMac, I still use the full size keyboard that Apple sells. I don't do a lot of typing at home so it works pretty good. However I think if i had to use it for a long period of time I would find it very tiring due to the shallow key travel. I love the MX keyboard at work. Glad i found your channel, it's very nice and I wish you well.

Actually on mx master you can change the Scroll Direction from Natural to Standard in Logi Options to get the correct scroll direction on macos

Charming presentation from a charming lady. I have been using the MX3 for Mac. Love it. This weekend is my Birthday and I have asked for the upgrade to the MX3S for Mac. I use a Wacom Intros Pro Medium for photographic work That is my go to. I use the mouse for personal use. The tablet is amazing. I only upgraded to the latest model for the extra advantages of touch and sensitivity.. I look forward to other reviews you do. Thank you. And Kudos on a job well done… Mark.

I Have Both, I work on MacBook Pro 16 and the MX Keys fails a lot on this model but works great on windows. Trackpad is great for regular web surfing and general use but the MX Keys its Better for working on excel, design apps and specialised software

Nice review! Used trackpad 3days already love it. But need a mouse for pc since my thrumb hurts after used trackball for 20years. Wish magic trackpad can use it pc. Mx master seems a good choice. I used trackpad by lefthand try my best to save my right hand to intense tasks.

I bought the MX Master 3 after watching several reviews, but I returned it after a trip to Best Buy. That store has the MX Ergo Plus Trackball Mouse. I now no longer need to have lots of room on my desk to move a mouse around. The trackball sits in one spot that is comfortable for me to use without aggravating my carpal tunnel like the MX Master 3 did. I switched to Mac January last year and was happy to see that I didn't need to buy a mouse designed for Mac. It also works great on my 11" M1 iPad. I'm still not sure about the Magic Trackpad. I like the design and build quality, especially in Space Gray, but I can't see any real advantages it has over my trackball mouse.

How well/long does your finger slide on the trackpad. I have this built in trackpad on my wireless Logitech keyboard but even the tiniest amount of sweat or humidity makes it almost unusable because my finger starts to grip and doesn't glide as smoothly anymore. I do agree on the idea of switching it up, I've always done that with different mice and even gaming controllers, heck even shoes. Reduces strain a lot.

I haven’t had any problems with it during normal use! If I have a bit sweaty hands, I just wipe them off beforehand haha. Switching up is the best!

one piece of advice on using a mouse in general is, use a mousepad like the logitech studio etc. for the simple reason you are using the mouse on an open woodgrain desk which, collects a lot of dirt grains etc. which will destroy the underside of any mouse. :) p.s. I own a Master 3S

Wasn't sure if I needed the Trackpad since I had the MX mouse. I went ahead and ordered the Trackpad today. I wonder why one color is cheaper than the other. Not complaining as I purchased the cheaper one obviously. lol. I saw your other video on switching the scroll. I have a Mac Mini M2 with the latest Ventura. Thank you, good video. You could use Better Touch Tools to add more options to the Magic Trackpad. I'm testing the MX5, but I'm not enjoying until now (first hours). I already was using the Trackpad on my iMac but I needed a solution for my MacBook. I'm leaning to the trackpad again, while I understand your 'exhausted fingers". Today, I feel that I'm getting exhausted by the MX5 though.

I haven’t owned an iPad for many years now, so I’m not sure I’m qualified to answer. I think with iPad I would rather just click with my finger than on a Trackpad lol! But I could be way off

I love the trackpad, but as soon as the need for controlling multiple computers arises, the trackpad is just no option. I‘d say that this point isn’t really addressed here although it might be a definitive deal breaker for the trackpad.

The MX3 real battery life is somewhere around 40-50 days, unless you are using it for like 30 minutes/day :)

Also two things which you did not mention in this video. 1.- One of the selling points of mx hardware like the mouse or the keyboard, is that it is multi-device, so you can work on multiple computers at the same time (or your phone). 2.- That these devices, you can eve even use them to send files over between devices. I guess this can be very handy for you when you buy your own mac pro when you have a lot of subscribers and make a lot of videos :), also I know the MX master can increase the DPI which can help to move the hand a bit less. Anyway, have a beautiful evening, nice video and I actually was expecting you to say the winner had been the trackpad but I was wrong 😆.

@@TerezaTichackova No, you're not boring. Your video is nice and your editing is good, you add a lot of commentary that make your videos funny and entertaining. I did subscribe. As a side note, I think Apple does design things that tend to be sleek, which is what you dont seem to like from the mouse because it's material is more porous. Your mouse also had the pads a bit worn down, but I think that's because you have a wooden desk that is not that smooth so it needs a mouse pad. Something you can cover on your next video!

@@BestFriendOfDog The idea of getting a mouse pad is a good suggestion. I'd go further and suggest getting a larger desk mat if you can find one with good comfort and good aesthetics. It can provide a little comfort for typing on the keyboard and gives a lot of space for moving the mouse around. Plus it helps to keep the table surface clean and unscratched. And your comment on the DPI is very important. Most good laser mice have adjustable DPI settings and usually have a button that lets you switch profiles. So you could have a lower DPI setting for a slow-moving but very precise pointer and a higher setting for moving around a large high-resolution screen quickly.

Do not forget to install the Logi options + software and turn on smooth scrolling feature. Also turn off the natural scrolling.

Logitech’s software for Mac is buggy; especially the driver. I had raised a ticket to Logitech a year ago, and one gentleman answered (yea, before Logitech ack-ed the ticket) about the underlying faulty driver. My guess about the scrolling directions on that mouse change because macOS kills the process, but the Logitech daemon process restarts the driver. Till the process restarts and applies your preference, everything behaves differently. But this is a wild guess.

How would you describe the latency from the MX3? I had a bluetooth mouse a while ago and it was pretty annoying.

It’s annoying not gonna lie 😅 but thankfully it’s just a seldom occurrence, so I’m willing to look past it! 🙂

This was the reason why I returned mine. The logi options software (which is still in beta lol) ist really compatible with the M1 MacBooks. So if you consider buying one for your M1 device, you’re going to experience a continuous lag and stutter which is hella annoying.

Great review. The charging obsession of some tech people is ridiculous. Like you said, it would have mattered if it takes like half an hour to charge and use for a long time.

Great comparison. Helped me make the purchase decision. Bought the Magic mouse. Even though the ergonomics is bad, got used to it in no time. The gestures are great for MacOS. Loving it.

I bought my MX Master 3 to use with a work PC laptop last year and love it, I used it with the MX keys which is a great keyboard. My personal laptop is a MBP. After using computers since the 70s I have never once enjoyed using trackpads until I started moving back towards MacOS a few years ago. I LOVE the Apple trackpads. When I recently purchased a Studio I started using my MX mouse with it but quickly bought one of the trackpads and I love it. When I play some games I like to use the mouse but otherwise I use the track pad. I have found the MX Mouse loses Bluetooth connectivity from time to time so I'm using the USB dongle with my Studio. I have no problems at all with the trackpad. This is probably the best comparison video I have seen on this subject, I love that you covered so many different areas. You gave people trying to make a decision a lot to think about! Subbed and looking forward to future content!

There is a lot of white noise from your microphone and the audio has a alot of audible mouth clicks. You can try to remove the background noise and clicks using certain plugins like Izotope RX series. Other than that great video!

Hello, i am very confused. Why didnt’ you purchase apple Magic Trackpad 3 ? And went for Magic Trackpad 2. I am planning to purchase and i dont see any comparison videos in youtube between these two Magic Trackpads.

@@TerezaTichackova Hello, I got Magic Trackpad3 yesterday ( new design). On the apple website it’s mentioned only as “magic trackpad” . That has round edges & has “USB-C to lightning charger” instead of “USB-A to lightning charger” . The charging was fast in new one. Rest all same. Unfortunately, no KZfaqr has mentioned these differences in detail . I experienced it after I purchased 😊

9:30 I totally agree: is not the same use the trackpad on a small screen like the macbook pro like use it external in a big monitor 27 and up!!! are totally different!

9:45 you need to change speed setting to fast cursor movement to navigative with trackpad and its way faster to rech end to end of screen woth trackpad

What does the name Tereza mean?
