This is my absolute favorite. I know exactly whom he is exposing, and I feel it's deserved because it was originally a TV act with careful angles and paid "audience" members pretending to be amazed. It's a TV act and would never work to anyone who even happened to be walking by.

I don't personally consider careful camera framing an illusion. It's like saying editing a video in post production is a magic trick.

have to respect the amount of time, research, and practice that goes into getting the right angles to hide the wires and other things from view…it’s why these folks have to go to great lengths to do new tricks: it’s costly!

David Copperfield did the flying illusion first on stage. Same basic trick of making the wires not visible to the eye from the correct angles.

Not a trick unless it can be done with a live audience, who don't happen to see the crane. Such a substantial crane just to lift one person does seem to be overkill.
