Thank you! I accidentally rebooted & went into Samplitude with interface turned off. The settings defaulted to windows stuff, needed to reconfig to use MOTU drivers but the 'options' tab no longer exists. Keyboard shortcut "Y" was what I needed.

Thanks for this next chapter of the system options! I've just learned about the Soft Split function! Btw: By just pressing once the STOP button with the mouse will also send an "all notes off"-command ("panic") to all MIDI devices.

I think starting at 6:20 you quickly went through how to get the piano roll midi on track 2 to control the grand piano on track 1. I'll watch it several times but I think that will solve one of my questions about how how to draw midi on any track and get it to control an instrument on another track. Thank you for including that in this video.

C'est étrange car Samplitude va montrer ces info par défaut.. essaye le workspace poweruser.

I have a problem a problem when I open a demo track with midi file that it can't playback the audio. It says something about the Microsoft GS Wavetable synth has an error. Does anybody else ever get this? Should I just get a third party midi output software?

How about adding midi channels to multiple controllers. ie: Midi channel 1 for controller 1. Midi channel 2 to controller 2 I see no way to assign midi channels to a device.

In samnplitude, each track has its own midi output setting, for 1 interface, you get 16 different channels. Of course you need to change the input setting of the device to match. it is quite simple to do. Then you can have a midi cable running from the interface to multiple synth. You enter the first one in the input then exit by the through port to the input of the second device and so on. each will respond to the midi input channel they are set to. you can have multiple ones on the same channel to have a merge sound or each have their own different input channel..

You explain it well, a good video, please tell me. I have a vsti Modo drum . I take the groove and drag it to the midi track. In the Reaper, when stretching the track, the notes are duplicated. In Samplitude, the track is simply stretched without notes inside. How to do it like in a reaper without ctrl c ctrl v. I hope I explained it clearly, thank you very much.😀

Right click on the object, go in object and select build loop object... Or select the object and hit ctrl+ L

I like Samplitude & Sequoia very much, for its ease and strength, as I have been working on it for more than 22 years now. But when I do the sound design & SFX for a movie or promos, unfortunately, it often fails me and slows down fatally, although my device is powerful and I tried to change the video resolution to smaller and lighter sizes, unfortunately, the result is very boring, and its response to commands is delayed In its implementation, this problem makes me leave it and start working from scratch on the Pro_tools!!! This makes me hesitate every time I want to design sound & SFX for a video using it!!!, is there a solution? Or is it not qualified to work with video files?

Humm, it's hard to tell when not knowing what is the bottleneck of the system. One thing I noticed, when done with a virtual instrument and knowing I'm moving on to other things in the project, I often freeze the track so it becomes a wave file easy to read.. Just saying.. ;)

@@MarcoPrimeau Thank you for the quick response, but what I notice is that the problem is always related when I work with video files, and I often have to convert it (Magix Mxv) to be more compatible. And I don't use a virtual instrument, I just put the sound effects clips as they are in a wave format. I hope there is a solution!! Because it is a great loss for a program with such powerful capabilities, it has this serious defect, and this problem is unfortunately present in all versions.

Hi ! Connect the keyb to the computer with USB cable, install drivers. In samp's settings activate midi controler and select it on tracks

I'm new to Samplitude. Just got Pro X8 Suite and discovered that you can use your computer keyboard. (Top Menu: View>Keyboard). The computer keys are displayed on the piano keys! Not sure about earlier versions.

It seems like too large of a question. Could be the lack of ressources (too many things to do in real time) if so, try changing the buffer size. Could be the audio drivers, you computer's hardware or antivirus or many other things.. What version do you run ?
