Great vid. Really glad to see Spartan expanding their Kabar collabs - much more affordable for us mere mortals. I have a Damysus which I use as a duty fixed blade - it's worked hard and survived the past couple of years. The special editions are as incredible as ever and finally a fighting knife in Magnacut - now that's a chunk of premium grade steel right there. Glad we got a look-in as now I can start saving as I expect that fighting knife ain't going to be cheap!! Sharp blades all.

That KaBar Prototype MagnaCut is the what we have been waiting for..!! How do we obtain that Legend.? Curtis from Spartan Blades really lay down the goodness in blade making. We trust DCA to bring that prototype into Knife Center when it's done.

Wow, what a bunch of awesome knives. I drive by the Spartan store at least once a week when I'm on the job...gonna have to take some time to stop in and see if I can grab one of those George daggers. And the Harsey Fighter. And the Nessmuk. Oh lord I'm in trouble. 😅

I like that cutlery set. Always have a fork in my work bag. This would be nice to keep in a cargo pocket. How many times have you grabbed food on the run and forget the plastic utensils.

On the K-bar in magnacut the but plate should be printed with any saying backward so when the soldiers hit someone they can read the message.

I would love to see a sharpening choil on those harseys. Can do it urself but id like to see them incorporate that. They make great stuff tho

Probably the non boring stuff is tht fork and knife.. i feel tht they can make it a little fancier or camping stuff.. asideof tht.. Dude at spartan.. why do t you take harpy or tht zt les george with liner lock and you make it frame lock.. i think works well with spartan blade

I’m not very hopeful about the new Spartans. I purchased a 3.25, and I LOVE the design, but mine came through with SEVERAL DEFECTS. One is that the detent ball runs in a track, which on my knife was VERY ROUGH. These knives are supposed to be among the smoothest ever. Mine was the ROUGHEST EVER! When dropping the blade, which didn’t drop easily, it felt like GRINDING in the pivot. Furthermore, the filler plate for the clip on the opposite side did not lay flat, because of a large burr on the underlying screw hole. Not a biggie (I can fix it myself), but unacceptable on a $450 knife! Both issues would have been easily detected, IF they had been inspected! It appears that this one wasn’t. The grinding cannot be repaired easily (it will need a new blade), so I had to return it. More than one significant defect on a $450 knife is a TRAVESTY. I had plans to pick up one of the large Spartan-Harsey knives, also, but now, I probably will NOT be buying another Spartan product any time soon… THEY have a quality control problem.

WHAT IN THE WORLD!? I never give two craps about spartan knives. Too tactical and too expensive for being impractical, in my everyday life. BUT this year’s shot show vids have been “meh” EXCEPT for this one. Love the ka-bar blades. Love the carnivore set. Actually excited to make an upcoming purchase. AND, THANK YOU for emphasizing “not China”. Good man.
