That little carving knife just went to the top of my fixed blade list. Literally the last 2 months been looking for a dedicated wood carving/ whittling fixed blade.

Excellent lineup!!! The Gladius BEGS for a kydex multi-position sheath. For me, danglers are for woods knives, not tacticals.

TOPS is getting elaborate over the last years. Has not been exactly my style of knives. But I more and more find models that appeal to me. Especially the smaller practical edc capable stuff. Great stories behind, as was posted already. ❤

Hope to see that Woodscraft before June. Tops had it on the table LAST Shot Show. Heck. They even posted a video of a row of them getting final edges. I guess all good things come to those who wait.

I've always loved TOPS. Yes they are getting very $$$ but I have 4 of their fixed blades and use the heck out of them with no problems. Some good knives on the table with some interesting backstories. Personally keen to see how the ERSK turns out. Sharp blades all.

That ERSK is glorious!!!!!!!! When will that be available?!?!?!? Heat treated 90° spine!!!!!!!! The simplicity of if is awesome. True bushcraft knife!!!!!

I hope Tops reads this: You REALLY need to incorporate AEB-L and/or 14C28N as your stainless steels. Preferably AEB-L, because with the correct heat treat, AEB-L can be right up at the top of the list with CPM-3V for the toughest steel that will still hold an edge. H1 or LC200 (also known as Z-FiNit) are close to un-rustable, but neither holds a great edge. AEB-L, according to Larrin at Knife Steel Nerds can have toughness equivalent to 3V, which is mind blowing.

I own the Steel Eagle 107C. Went out into the forest to have a little fire and some steaks with a friend. At some point I just ditched the saw and hatchet and used my beast of a knife 🙂

I've been looking for the 105 steel eagle for more then a few months now thinking it was released lol. I absolutely love it, I have several Tops, Skullcrusher, Operator 7, couple of Police Interceptor tantos I love, little bugger, Blue otter and the Top/Fox collaboration 4.5 inch tanto folder. Love my Tops knives!

Suggestion to pass on to Tops for the dive knives: instead of G10, swap to Ultrex Suretouch as it's basically the same material, just adds that rubberised layer for even further traction.

I wonder if Edd Caldorone trained with Scott Babb from Libre Fighting? That notch in the handle is how Libre fighting shows you how to adapt a paring knife from the kitchen into a pikal for fighting.

Ed is the reason I started carrying TOPS to be completely honest. For the sake of brevity, he and I (amongst many others) have spent a significant amount of time working together. He is most definitely the self proclaimed undisputed leader of turning your everyday household items into someone’s worst nightmare. Be well everyone 🙏🇺🇸

They changed their finish on the classic Steel Eagle and others, not a fan. The ole acid rain finish was so perfect, it revealed the heat treat along the edge. Now, it’s hard to know if the edge is heat treated or not.

Tops make some excellent knives, they can take a beating & keep going. I wish they could launch a Silent Hero XL, with a longer & thicker blade as most of the trees in my area are thick, hardwood which the OG Silent Hero struggles with.

I like a lot of TOPS stuff but some of their models are too thick to be functional cutters. Any design that I like by TOPS I always check the spec for the knife's thickness.

I love TOPS ! Only complaint is I love to use their knives at work to cut meat and none of them come with a polish finish , the stone wash or whatever finish they have on EVERYTHING does not allow the blade to glide through flesh proper .

I actually designed a knife that is very similar to the sidekick a couple years ago for an australian guy, hook, serrations and everything, he wanted me to mimic a shark

That Gladius would be really sick if it came with a really nice leather Dangler, or some kind of other sheath besides Kydex. I really like it but I would have to set it up with the leather sheath somehow. It’s just so much easier to jump into a purchase want it already comes with a really nice sheath.

It would just be so sick to have that thing in a really nice leather dangler and if I hunt around enough, I could find one that fits perfectly but I’ll probably have to drop another 50 bucks at least.

Still can't get tops knives that dropped YEARS ago.🤣 I like tops but their prices are a bit ridiculous here. I can literally get custom equivalents in virtually any steel & handle material I want for the same price (or less) Went with a Dulo puukko in vanadid 4e at 63hrc & carbon fiber handle over the tops brakimo (1095 & micarta) that I wanted & could get hold of for like 2 years. Dulo was €220 Tops Brakimo is €230

Really disappointed in the final version of the Woodcraft. The original prototype didn’t have the dark blade finish and dark micarta. Cool design, but swing and a miss on the blade/handle combo. Only took 3+ years too…

Your memory serves you well. The did show the Woodscraft last year at Shot Show. Tops also posted a video two months ago showing them putting edges on the blades. Tops is saying first quarter of this year. We’ll see. kzfaq.infoLhIrduwKrK4?feature=share
