I can’t believe my buddies and I didn’t do this 30 years ago over in Oklahoma. We didn’t know about scrapping though, but we definitely would have done it drinking at the lake or river. I think I’ll grab a magnet and try it at a nearby bridge over a lake.

Have you checked with police on that gun? Even if the munbers are eroded, there are now ways to read the stresses in the metal where the imprint of serial numbers would be. Those internal stresses can't be sanded off or scraped away. In one case, some hikers found some duct tape near where a body had been pulled up. The duct tape didn't seem like it was connected, but it turned out it was. Investigators were able to match the torn ends of the tape with that used on the body. Not only that, but the loose piece of tape had ONE clear fingerprint, which the tape on the body did not. That means the hikers, by chance, had saved the one piece of evidence that cracked the murder case wide open. Since rivers and lakes are rife with such crimes, it would pay to look at things like guns and knives very very carefully, and maybe ask police whether or not it might be evidence.

Finding the stop sign, hope you don’t scrap and sell, love the pocket knife the handles like that use to be made of bone. You got your gun, even if a BB,used anchors $20. That gun tied down I would call the police and take a picture of it how you found it, I think your suspicion that the gun tied down was involved in a crime, therefore, this time police must be involved, would love to know what they say. You and Blake are so much fun together, love you fighting over the finds

Shiny metal tubes are from wind chimes and grey tubes from start are for around above ground pool

I know yall scrape it for a lil $$$ but cleaning up is very admirable I’m thinking about doing it in our area but unfortunately my body may be a lil to broke down to haul anything of weight up bc of bad back and messed up joints but maybe I could get a lil Crain/wench to pull up if I have a clink. With the amount of times I'd imagine you guys find weapons of various sorts, you'd think that you'd bring gloves with you so you could wear them while handling the weapons. You know, just in case one of them happens to be tied to an unsolved criminal case, or a potential unknown one, and all those finger prints of yours possibly ruined any chance of getting a solid finger print from the weapon...

Yes! Looks like it served as the local dump. Okay, the cinder blocks wrapped in clothes attached to a shotgun? Uh....Sketchy AF. Thanks for getting all that crap out of there, and good on you making cash in the process. Deer leg bone. I've made whip handles and knives with them. I used to magnet fish the heaviest fishing areas right near the beach, and came up with hundreds of hooks and dozens of lures. I was only concerned with people stepping on them. Much of it was re-useable, so I gave them to the families that were sustenance fishing there. Some seriously rusty junk. Wait? Why?
