pls note that from around 80 deg Celsius and above, the magnet will lose its magnetic properties (permanently demagnetised).

Hi I am trying to peel the red things off the magnets but, I'm unsure how much I need to peel off. I.e the sponge type stuff under neath it. Struggling thanks

Hi. It should peel easily. The paper cover with the 3M logo should peel nicely off leaving the foamy bit behind

Can't say for sure, but it's 3M glue adhesive. If glue sticks, it will.

We have an artex ceiling, would the adhesive fix to that?

I wonder. The adhesive part is soft so it should be able to bond with artex surfaces, but I haven't tried it so can't be sure.

Some people have mentioned this. Honestly I do not know. I know that 3M makes them specifically for smoke alarms, so they hopefully have done the research.
