070 - Magnetic Properties
In this video Paul Andersen explains how all material has magnetic properties. Ferromagnetic material can be permanently magnetized, paramagnetic material will align with magnetic fields, and diamagnetic material will align weakly with magnetic fields. Magnetism is a quantum property that acts at all scale levels

hello, just to clarify; if I heat a ferroelectric past its Curie temperature. it becomes paramagnetic. then once it cools down below its Curie temperature, it returns to being ferromagnetic? or does this vary with different materials?

Hey, Mr. Andersen, if I induce an electrical field in a diamagnetic material through friction does it get easier to induce magnetic fields parallels to the desired magnetic field? After all, some of the electrons are removed.

The magnetic field inside a toroid is totally contained inside the toroid itself. There is no significant magnetic field in the center of the toroid's hole. Therefore, to measure the magnetic properties of a substance using a toroid, you must place it literally inside the toroid core, and not in the hole!

My question is simple we see metals non metals other substances in periodic table where we can see these magnets. We find magnets naturally in the universe what are those materials are made of are they metals. How is there Quantum structure that make them magnets

All magnets found in the visible universe are metals.. unless you are referring to engineered molecular structures. Electrons and protons.

Now you are at the crossroads mr. Anderson... I told you that it´s not a good thing to lie! Now when you have to talk about curie temperature, remember a long time ago, when I told you that this, would n´t comply with the Earth magnetic field inside of Earth b/c of the magma? What are you going to tell your students now? To unlearn what you told them to learn...
