Magneto: Nazi Hunter would be awesome. Also who cares about blood iron? If he's HUNTING THEM there's always going to be anything metal around them. Plus he's proven he can kill them with just a coin. All he needs to do is carry pocket change and he's armed.

First Class was originally intended to be "X-Men Origins: Magneto". I guess they didn't think people would be interested in a whole movie just about young Magneto but if this was going to be the vibe throughout then I think it would've been a great movie, much as I enjoyed First Class.

+Rowan Seaby 'An antihero, or antiheroine, is a protagonist who lacks conventional heroic qualities such as idealism, courage, or morality. These characters are usually considered "conspicuously contrary to an archetypal hero".' Basically, they're a main character of the story... although Magneto is an antagonist in X-Men, if perspectives were changed, he might be seen as a protagonist, with Xavier constantly trying to foil his attempts to seek justice from a cruel and xenophobic (mutant-phobic?) human race.

In both Spanish AND German! You can tell Magneto is even speaking European Spanish. In contrast, Kevin Bacon's German was sadly atrocious in this film. Points for trying, since German can be very difficult to pronounce like a native speaker, but could have used a few more weeks with a dialect coach.

It's kind of telling of their mindset. All he did was reveal he'd been in one of the camps with his family, he wasn't armed in any conspicuous way, and they immediately went to attack him with lethal force
@vexxama7 жыл бұрын
Iafiv Iv true, I'm not denying that being sharp and suspicious of your surroundings would be a highly useful trait, especially when living a dubious life. I'm just remarking on how they went to the darkest possibility immediately. I suppose the best example of the point I'm trying to make was in the manga vagabond. A swordsman saw a farmer with a hoe and kept thinking he was going to attack him with it, so was ready to kill the man. It's revealed that this was just the swordsman projecting his own thoughts on to how he thought others would behave. As such, he thought the farmer was poised to attack him only because he himself was an inherently violent individual On a side note I thought of a morbid alternate scene of this. Magneto has no powers, he's not seeking revenge, it's a coincidence, and he says everything he said just to mock the men at the table. He'd've been stabbed and shot to death by men who feared revenge, pre-emptivly of any action on his part.

@mreinhardt18207 жыл бұрын
James Herbert I thought it added to the tension personally, particularly at 1:50 Perhaps a bit lower would have been better, but I think this scene is perfect in every way. My favourites are the "They didn't have a name. It was taken from them, by pig farmers and tailors". Fassbender's very calmness and serenity betrays his ruthless and melevolent nature. Action wise that moment where he threw the knife into yer man and then it came back to him was gold.

2:45 I know this is all very frightening for you since you'll be dead here in a few seconds, but if you don't mind I'd like to finish my beer first.

As an argentinian, i cringed very hard when i saw ''villa gesell'' recreated by hollywood... villa gesell is a turistic town in the east of argentina, against the atlantic ocean. I think they could've wanted to show bariloche..

Did he have to kill the bartender?
@chrisfox70347 жыл бұрын
The Bartender was also a nazi
@MrLethalShots7 жыл бұрын
+Chris Fox I disagree. He doesn't really seem old enough to have been a Nazi, I mean look at his age compared to the other two. A sympathizer maybe but not an actual Nazi.
@chrisfox70347 жыл бұрын
MrLethalShots I wasn't aware that the ideology of nazism had an age limit imposed on it.
@MrLethalShots7 жыл бұрын
+Chris Fox This takes place two decades after the war, my point is that the bartender was probably a teenager during then.
@chrisfox70347 жыл бұрын
MrLethalShots - Nazism is an ideology that transcends the 1940s and people continued and still continue to commit atrocities in its name. - The Hitler Youth ensured that children had been brainwashed with the Nazi Ideology, to the point that even kindergartners were used as soldiers to defend against the Soviet Army in the Battle of Berlin.

@pyromania10187 жыл бұрын
Magneto buried him alive and left. Red Skull nearly died, and when he finally realized that, he actually began to feel remorse for his crimes, but then he was rescued mere seconds later by his followers.

Michael English and German, primarily. He practiced French for the movie but is not particularly fluent . In Inglorious Basterds he put on a fake un-German accent
