In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

I agree with you, partially. The scenes where Erik just brazenly walks in through front doors and dismantles automatic guns in to their components on the floor when he is about to be fired at, is early hints of the insanely formidable force he very quickly becomes.

Honestly I’d have loved a short series of them doing commando raids band of brothers style. The Cold War had A LOT of wet work and espionage going on for the whole thing and I think it was a waste to just focus on the Cuban Missile Crisis.

@@philipthecow several things: Shaw never told her the truth and mentally hid it from her. All Erik would need to do is shatter the illusion that Shaw is this liberator by remembering the full scene with his mother

It would be, but that's not what he did. You are looking at concerntina wire. Much sharper, much worse to get stuck in. Take it from a guy who both deployed it and has gotten a humvee stuck in it.

It's not that bad, depending on how tight it is. The barbs aren't that sharp and their clothes are protecting them from the worst of it. Depending on how tied up they are, they could probably get themselves out without much fuss

I love the smirk on Erik's face when he says "I'm not CIA." - well played, Erik. Well played. Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen are the GOAT actors to play Magneto (excluding the animated shows, as I've not properly seen either of them).

As someone who once foolishly tried to climb through some barbed wire, it would hurt them a lot. Sometimes we learn things the hard way. I got stuck, because it was gripping my flesh, hair and clothes. I wasn't wearing as much clothes as those people, my arms were uncovered.

the interesting thing is Xavier actually spoke russian correctly to that solider he didn't actually say STAY CALM he ACTUALLY SAID...... DON'T BE A AFRAID or you could interpret it as HAVE NO FEAR but it's not DON'T WORRY, it's literally DO NOT BE AFRAID well actually LITERALLY it's "NO FEAR YOU" when translated means DO NOT HAVE ANY FEAR
