The golden years of the Ottoman Empire come to life in a television series. The life of Suleiman the Magnificent is preparing to be a guest in your homes in all its glory. Get ready to experience the era with ambition, loves, wars and all the struggle.
Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.
Şehzade Süleyman, en yakın adamı Pargalı İbrahim ile birlikte çıktığı bir avda alır kötü haberi. Babası Yavuz Sultan Selim Han vefat etmiştir. Şehzade Süleyman hiç beklemeden, İstanbul’a doğru yola çıkar. Şehzade Süleyman hızla payitahta ulaşır. Hiç beklemeden cülus törenine katılır. Bir günde hayatı değişmiş. Sultan Süleyman olarak padişahlık hayatına başlamıştır.
Bu sırada, Karadeniz üzerinden içi köle yüklü bir kadırga, İstanbul’a doğru gelmektedir. Kölelerden en ateşli olanı ise, kaderini değiştirecek olan yolculuğa çıktığının henüz farkında değildir. Geri dönmek için çaresiz bir şekilde isyan etmektedir.
Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

@@asaasura6901 Hurrem did not defeat Ibrahim. Ibrahim did that himself by calling himself the sultan and making comments about lions and tamers. If Ibrahim had behaved properly, nobody, not even hurrem, could have taken him down. Suleiman loved and trusted him too much for that

in real life Mustafa was jealous that his dad payed more attention to ibrahim than him. He just paired with him when Hurrem married Suleiman as he had no supporters

I really love Shehzade Mustafa and Ibrahim Pasha relationship. He was his mentor, guide, philosopher, well wisher who gave his life to make him sit in the throne. He loved him like his own son.

I always find the comment section interesting. It's always a Hurrem vs Mahidevran for "most evil" title, when in real life (and even as characters in the show) both women were enslaved individuals with NO ability to consent or say no when called to Suleiman's bed. Yes, favor of the sultan is preferable to being in the harem without favor, but let's not kid ourselves. It doesn't matter if Hurrem or Mahidevran loved Suleiman or not, they couldn't have turned him away as a concubines. Mahidevran had 1 son, Hurrem had at least 4, and once they had sons, their positions would have been terrifying. The love of a mother for her child can be indescribable, and to have the knowledge that to bare a prince for the dynasty brings status while also carries an inherent death sentence? That's some serious psychological stress. Of course they'd be willing to scheme to keep their children alive, wouldn't you?

This shows that TIMS production team has no clue about Ottoman dynasty. If Ibrahim has stepped in Eski palace during Suleiman's reign he would be dead about an hour later, never mind going g into the harem. Since Mustapha was circumcised, his apartment will be in princes quarters not in the harem. This scene is unnecessary and irritating. Really pity the Turkish people that their golden history was rolled in the mud like this.

Just a useful tip regarding fighting. Never have just one weapon, have more (in case you lose your sword, you can still use a dagger or a mace).

You asked about the second weapon - well, is a remembrance, I think Mustafa's, when Ibrahim tells him he is not a child anymore. Mustafa remembers the fact that on one occasion Suleyman seeing Mustafa grown up, provokes him to a fight. Mustafa handles well the situation, and Suleyman loses it, becomes aggressively. Shocks everybody around, by running to Mustafa’s neck. Before he cuts, came to his sences, and makes a lesson of the situation - Mustafa is not a child anymore, he lost his innocens - so winning in front of the sultan is inappropriate, but because he provoked Mustafa tells him, to keep a spare weapon in case he loses his sword. The scene is symbolic. Just like in this present scene, when Mustafa said, my father would not kill me because of this, Ibrahim shakes his head, looking down, saying obviously something he did not believe - no he won’t, but you will play an the hand of those, who wants to kill you.

Well irritating or not, she raised the best prince. His death marked the downfall of the ottoman rule. Hurrem raised a traitor - BAyazid and a drunk - Selim. So.... In the series and in reality.

You just launch an attack. Not quite a surprise. Hurrem fans are not very intelligent. But let’s do it for the fun. Mehmed didn't survived, so he wasn't strong enough, Selim was a drunkard, and.... many other things, doesn’t worth observing, Bayazid a traitor, Cihangir died because a psychical torment - so weak. This were the great princes? And, Mihrimah begging man to accept and love her. One more thing - whining was Hurrem's specialty. She was a poor girl kidnapped by Tatars, enslaved…. Just like everybody else. What was her very special trauma? Don’t answer you are stupid, can’t argue. You just proved it.

@@kayodewa Half brain - your characteristic. And you are a bad person, too. Otherwise, you would not be happy to someone’s death, and you would not call any person “candidate for execution”. Actually, I have more respect for Hurrem (if that is possible towards a fictional character), than for you, because she later in the series, before her death she finds Ibrahim grave, and she make toward the grave affectionate gesture. And thanked him for his contribution to her life, because without him, she would not have met Suleyman. I don’t like the scene for some reasons, I wouldn't elaborate about, to stay to the point. Hurrem told Mustafa that he has to die, because is not her son, but she wishes he would be. So, actually you are worst than a deadly enemy. What kind of person are you?
