The fantastic people watching from the booths next to the casino floor should not be understated, it was awesome lol. This is exactly the kind of place I would love to hit at 1am after a long craps session. Good food, great vibes, and large portions for a reasonable price. I like Magnolia's a lot. We eat there every time we visit. Usually eat breakfast, extraordinary ham and eggs. Try the prime rib French dip , unlike your experience with the prime rib the meat is cut ultra thin with horseradish and onions with au jou on the side. The meat is on a French roll and served medium rare.

I haven't been to Magnolia's Veranda for a couple of years now since last time I went I was waiting for my dad to get out of jury duty. Food wasn't too bad and I enjoyed their breakfast. Need to come back again one day.

Nothing was particularly bad except the pineapple on the cheesecake. Everything else was decent at worst I'd say. I had high hopes for the prime rib, but the one I had at Siegels recently blew me away so my expectations were up there. But I did enjoy this place. I would drown in that gumbo if I could it was so good. Thanks for watching!

@@VegaswithShin My gold standard for prime rib is Lawry's ($59 w/Spinning Salad), then 4 Charles in Manhattan ($99.95), Smith & Wollensky ($78) and House of Prime Rib in SF ($59). But they are all very pricey. My rule of thumb is if you want your prime rib medium, order it medium-rare. Much more flavorful. I order rare to get medium-rare. A good creamy horseradish sauce and au jus can make up for a variety of prime rib sins.

Magnolias is our go to for prime rib 😞 and my daughter loves their French toast, breakfast or late night! What time did you go? We go a little before 4, get seated because the line gets long. Prime rib is served starting at 4. Sorry you didn’t love it like we do. Thanks for the review. Sue

I was there this past Thursday around 9pm. It could be a lot better if I go at 4pm. I don't get off work until about 6 or 7 though typically so it would have to be a weekend which I imagine would have crazy lines lol. But I did enjoy my time here. If I lived closer to downtown, I'd go back often just for a $6 bowl of gumbo and hang out. Thanks for watching!

Nice review, Shin! But you definitely should have sent back those cheesecakes. I hate to send back food, but sometimes it really is warranted. If that pineapple topping tasted fermented, it WAS and had gone bad. You could have enjoyed that Bread Pudding instead! Cheers from a fan in Sweden.

I've probably sent back food twice in my entire life. I just don't do it even though I know I can. I used to eat McDonalds, Chipotle, Taco Bell or Panda Express almost every day before I started making KZfaq videos so it's still all variety to me lol. Thanks for watching!

VWS: Not a bad price. Gumbo roux was underdone and too blonde, you have to get down to New Orleans and do a food tour. I think it would be incredible.

@VegaswithShin New Orleans is a better food destination than Vegas and pricing (especially local finds) is not a rip off. Seafood is superior (location) and the diversity is off the chain. Make a special trip

Another commenter mentioned they start serving prime rib at 4pm so maybe it's much better when they first bring it to service. But I still think it was lacking seasoning on the exterior. Thanks for watching!

I like the video. I myself have never had any luck eating here 0-3. But it is a pretty good value and an easy access late night spot. I do have a question though. Do you eat your eggs like that at home? I mean 1 egg 1 bite, or is that just to move it along because it's a fried egg? Most food bloggers do that and I've always been curious. Maybe I eat my eggs weird 😂😂

Oof. 0-3 isn't great lol. But yes, its location and late night access are really appealing, and I'd come just for the gumbo. I do eat my eggs in 1 go typically because otherwise I lose yolk to the plate. Thanks for watching!

I want to say cod but I don't recall now. The spice level on the gumbo was perfect. Enough heat to singe the tastebuds but not so hot you can't taste anything else. I loved it. Thanks for watching!

Shin, have you recently had your cholesterol levels checked? I love all the foods you consume and can almost receive the same gratification as you while watching ( I know, sounds kinky). I mention this because in my early 40's I had a rather serious heart attack because of my diet, which happens more than most people are aware. Selfishly, I would love for you to grow to a ripe old age.

Hey shin, I just found your channel and I'm really enjoying it but I need to be critical of something you keep saying when you introduce a new menu item "Allright " you say this this so often that it's getting distracting. You can say a ton of info about each food but fallback to the same "Allright saying" mix it up
