Yes! Yes! Yes! So glad it runs smoothly. No kinks in the links, no set backs in the auto racks. Your channel is at the top of my watchlist. Great job Robert.

Robert, Sorry for not writing sooner. With Holiday preparations I am only now getting back into the RxR swing of things. Magnorail is an engineering marvel. Truly enjoyed the Magnorail install. On my own layout, and that of two of my RxR clubs, I have experienced just what you had to go through nine times. So a brief suggestion regarding removing track bed to accommodate reducing the grinding noise on the motor and drive wheels. You cut out your track bed beneath the motor support flanges. I have found that no matter the limited weight of the vehicles and sliders in time the drive wheels & track will sag and possibly even break. A bad thing when the mechanism is covered away from access. What some tech college students and I came up with was to chisel out about 1/4 to 1/2 inch (6.35 to 12.7mm) of bed or benchwork. Clean and smooth the chiseled out area well. Here in the U.S. we have a Winterizing D.I.Y. product for filling in the gaps in windows and doors from the cold temperatures. It is a foam rubber seal with a peel and stick backing. To the underside of the flange we use PVA glue to adhere the rubbery side. Peel the protective paper from the other side. And stick it to the remaining track bed. Screw some stabilizing screws through the flange holes, the rubber, and into the track bed. Secure and VERY QUITE. Great video as usual. To you, your family, and fans a belated Merry Christmas. I'LL SEE YA' DOWN THE LINE. Jim

Thanks for the info will check this out. But the humming noise i get from the motors is when i turn the system on and the motors x 3 are in neutral position that is when i get the humming noise, but when i start the motors the humming sound dissappears. This could be the way i have connected these up to the 12Vdc 5A PWM SPEED CONTROLLER KIT. But i will try some foam rubber seals, and have a great New Year cheers Robert
looking great, appreciate the time & effort in documenting all this , it will be a great reference for us all going fwd ....

Awesome! So glad it runs so well. A lot of work cutting, sanding, and hooking each one of those links in the chain but you never shy away from it. Don’t be surprised if Magnorail approaches you to use your videos as their advertising when you’re done. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Looking very nice Robert! Can’t wait to watch autos move from the warehouse and on to the Auto Rack car. Agree with others that perhaps a thin layer of foam or felt, even with circles cut out to accommodate the gear wheels if necessary might go along way toward reducing the noise even further.

It's running smooth and cleanly, Robert. That speed control will really be necessary to tune it up. Loading car carrier ships really does go much faster than people think. Nascar would be proud. Loading trains is maybe a little slower, but speed is money, so it will be interesting how this looks when done. Regards, Solomon

@@csxmad Or felt, or cork. And decide what kind of industry the sounds from the motor might sound like to scale people nearby that sound - and put a corresponding industry around that spot. IE: if it sounds like pigs being killed - put up a slaughterhouse, if it sounds like some sound from a cartoon - put up an animation studio...
