This is a taste test/review of the new Magnum Dark Chocolate Raspberry, White Chocolate Vanilla and Milk Chocolate Vanilla Ice Cream. They were $4.99 each at Meijer.
* The Dark Chocolate Raspberry is raspberry ice cream and dark chocolate shards in a cracking dark chocolate shell. 2/3 cup (110g) = 340 calories
* The White Chocolate Vanilla is vanilla ice cream and white chocolate shards in a cracking white chocolate shell. 2/3 cup (110g) = 350 calories
* The Milk Chocolate Vanilla is vanilla ice cream and milk chocolate shards in a cracking milk chocolate shell. 2/3 cup (110g) = 350 calories

My favourite was the white chocolate one. I actually love that vanilla bean flavour. In my country they had a hazelnut praline version I had high hopes for. I didn’t hate it by any means but it wasn’t anything memorable either. Wouldn’t repurchase any of them but it was a fun novelty to try!

He has tried so many brands. He likes the kind in the big tubs at Walmart and Kroger, but he also likes Turkey Hill and Kroger brand.

I never tried these Magnum pints, but I have tried the Magnum ice cream bars, and I was gonna highly recommend them since they are the best ice cream bars I've ever had, though if you guys aren't fans of Magnum, idk how you'd like them. My favorites are the Double Cookies & Cream, Vanilla Bean with White Chocolate, and Infinity Chocolate. The most impressive to me being the Infinity Chocolate, because it's rare to find actual dark chocolate ice cream, and being a huge fan of dark chocolate, this is the best chocolate ice cream I've ever had since it's dark. Add to that the chocolate swirl, dark chocolate coating with cacao nibs, and this is a dark chocolate lover's dream!

I’m glad to see I wasn’t being too picky, that’s exactly what I thought with these (the chocolate ones at least) I didn’t try the raspberry. The vanilla ice creams taste kinda “funky” the whites chocolate and milk chocolate pieces themselves are good; but didn’t care for the ice cream 🤢

I'm still kinda tempted to try the white chocolate if it goes on sale because I love white chocolate. I also just recently tried Talenti's Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip and I would recommend that one if you haven't tried it.

Hello Tami & Kevin... I picked up the Almond version of these tubs today, in my local Asda (UK version of Walmart who is ASDA's parent company)... The Almond magnum Ice Lollies are my favourite.. :D So I think I will be enjoying this one for a few days :D :D Best regards from Wales :D

It is so scrummy.. There are tiny pieces of almonds in the Ice Cream and big chunky bit of chocolate in there too, after you break the top.. YUM YUM

Tried the milk chocolate vanilla not worth $5. The chocolate was good but not great and the ice cream was no better than a cheap store brand. I will just stick with Ben And Jerry's for my over the top premium ice cream calorie bomb.

Tami you might want to try the Haagen Dazs White Chocolate Raspberry bars. Looking at them you might think they taste exactly the same as the ice cream but the ratios are different. They are awesome and my favorite ice cream bar even though I never thought of myself as a raspberry lover.

Schwan’s used to sell pints of dark chocolate raspberry ice cream. I was so sad when they discontinued them. The Magnum is nowhere near as tasty

I Love Vanilla also, Vanilla bean would be Haagen-Dazs and just vanilla are 2 brand s from Michigan which is Sanders and Guernsey. Best Vanilla I have ever had. I like Magnum bars but I don't think I would like the pints.

I have not had Magnum Ice Cream in a while and never in tub form. Less than 1000 calories isn't all that bad considering Ben and Jerrys is 1300 or something. Usually Dark Choc Raspberry works so well.

We got these last summer, except that there was chcocolate hazelnut flavour instead of raspberry chocolate (how obvious considering it is the European version :) ). Although it is kind of fun to eat, it didn't really work for me. The dark chocolate was too thick, giving me the same bitter flavour that you have experienced. The ice cream itself tasted a little cheap and artificial (which is typical for Magnum, to be honest). It was a fun one time experience, but I probably wouldn't buy these again because there are better alternatives out there. The idea is cool, but the end result somehow didn't work for me. My favourite one was the white chocolate flavour, too, mainly for the white chocolate itself. I think they should really work on the quality of the actual ice cream.

You are absolutely right! The ice cream itself needs help. We will be looking for the hazelnut one. Our store didn't have it at the time, but they may have it now.

You might like it the hazelnut flavour more because it has a less bitter chocolate and more texture to it, but it is the same ice cream unfortunately.

Never seen these before but it would annoy me that you only get the cracking chocolate layer when you have it the first time! Which must also make the calories inaccurate? Anyway, I agree that Magnum is a bit overrated, I think there are definitely better ice creams. I do still like them though!

The choc ice lollies are horrible reconstituted ingredients crap and reflect in the eating. I'd happily never buy them ever again. In fact they are so crap I'd just avoid anything magnum now

I’m eating the dark chocolate raspberry right now and it is disgusting, I also tried the white chocolate yesterday and I had to throw it away because on top of tasting horrible, it smelled so weird. They are overpriced and a calorie nightmare, not worth it, nasty.
