The competition between these two is really good here, and the respect ... I am surprised by how well Nakamura held his game up, but congratulations are due for this victory. Hopefully Nakamura can take confidence from this and do more ... I am with absolutely no doubt that Carlsen will revise with his recent games and develop something new which improves himself further - despite a few losses binoculars are still required to see him.

One second increment rule OTB for armageddon is a bit absurd remark considering the time you need to grab a piece, move it and then hit the timer, not just because of Magnus losing that end game but that rule is kinda only applicable to online chess.

Chess Database.. Hikaru's winrate against magnus is only 38%, especially when it comes to Classical chess. Magnus 12 to 1 Hikaru, with 21 draws. It means at 10 tourna games, Hikaru can only win around 3 out of 10 matches against Magnus. Including rapid/ Blitz games: Magnus beat Hikaru 33 for Magnus to 14 Hikaru, with 39 draws.

Is it a requirement to hit the timer with the same hand you use to play the moves? Would seem more efficient to move the pieces with one hand and hit the timer with the other. (I'm a chess novice, so I'm unaware if there's rules around this).
