About Ioan / Iancu de Hunedoara and his family: 1. Let's see what Enea Silvio Piccolomini (Pope Pius II) wrote about Transylvania and Wallachia in the chronicle Liber chronicarum (Nuremberg, 1493): "John of Hunedoara (Johannes Huniades), whose reputation darkens others, increased the glory of the Hungarians but of the others, the Romanians among whom he was born ". 2. Excerpts about Romanians and Iancu de Hunedoara in the chronicle of Antonio Bonfini (1434-1503): “He was born of a Romanian father (Valacho patre) and a Greek mother; by dexterity and virtue he honored his people above the expectations of all. It is said that his parents were not of obscure origin either. For his father - as they say - enjoyed great fame among the Romanians, who now rule the places of the Getae and Dacians and rightly believe in the remains of the Roman settlers, as evidenced by the resemblance of their language. Of course, he increased his authority not only through wisdom and long experience, but also through his riches and successes, being accustomed to incessant wars, through his military efforts he did not gain more wealth than fame. " 3. Ferdinand I of Habsburg awarded a diploma on November 23, 1548, to Nicolaus Olahus, Chancellor of Hungary, in which he wrote: as it is known, they are the descendants of the Romans .... Your people are excellent in heroism, a great number of warriors like Ioan Huniade and King Matei have come out of its bosom ". This diploma was published in 1879 by the Hungarian historian Pal Hunfalvy. 4. Sandor Domanovszky, a university professor at the University of Budapest, said of the Hunedoara family that they were "Transylvanian Romanians". 5.The Greek chronicler Critobul of Imbros recorded in his paper entitled During the reign of Muhammad II, 1451-1467, that the famous Ottoman sultan, conqueror of Constantinople, considered that the Byzantine emperor "incited against us (the Turks)" John together with his family. peons (Hungarians) and Dacians (Romanians) ”. Critobul of Imbros, (From the reign of Muhammad II, 1451-1467). 6.If he was a Magyar, then why should Iancu continue the negotiations to bring Vladislav, a Pole, to the throne of Hungary and he does not take the throne of Hungary! The Pole accepts the throne on March 6 and, despite the desperate attempts of the Queen of Hungary's party, arrives in Buda on May 21 and actually settles on the Hungarian throne. But the political rift between the two camps degenerated into a civil war. Iancu, on the side of Vladislav the Pole, led the king's army against the great nobles, whom he decisively defeated at Battaszek on September 10, 1440, and installed him as king. 7.Let's see what the king of Hungary, Sigismund of Luxemburg, writes on June 2, 1435, from Trnava (now in Slovakia) when he gives the fair and district of Komyathy in Banat "to our chosen faithful John called the Romanian, the son of the former Voicu of Huniadulu, of our army court furniture" and in Latin: "fidelis noster Egregius Johannes dictus Olah, filius quondam Woyk de Huniad, Aule noster Milites". 8. On September 21, 1437, from Prague, Sigismund of Luxemburg, king of Hungary reported that the two "Romanian brothers", Ioan and Iancu, had pledged to serve him in the army for three months. 9.About Matthias I of Hunedoara, the king of Hungary tells us a Pole, that he spoke Romanian, Krzystoff Warszewiecki, born 1543 in Warszewice, died 10 or 11 September 1603 in Krakow - royal secretary and courtier, Polish historian, political writer, publicist diplomat and political writer, public diplomat - mentions that the king of Hungary receiving Moldavian ambassadors; apparently he chose to speak to them directly rather than through translators: "Idioma valachicum est corruptum, nec tamen Latinitati admodum absimile; adeo ut rex Mathias Hungariae, cum legati Valachici per interpretem apud eum verba facere sic incepissent, «Expone, inquit, domino nostro», se, si hac lingua uterentur, etiam sine interprete intelligere eos posse responderit" Rough translation: The language of the Vlachs (Romanians) is broken, but not so different from Latin; so that Matthias King of Hungary, when the Vlach envoys (Moldovans, in this case) began to speak through their translator: "Tell our Lord," he replied, that if they would use this language, he could understand them without a translator. 10.About Voicu -year 1439, Albert de Habsburg, king of Hungary, donated to John and the other John, both sons of Romanul de Hunedoara, money from Severin, certain possessions, and now in Latin the document says: "Iohannem et alterum Iohannem, ambos filios Olah de Hunyad ." I mention that the document is recorded in summary form by Gyorgy Fejer in Codex diplomaticus Hungariae ecclesiasticus ac civilis, XI, Buda, 1844, page 260 and can also be found in Genus, incunabula et virtus Joannis Corvini de Hunyad, regni Hungariae gubernatoris, Buda , 1844, page 34.

Mar meg is jelent egy roman :) mily erdekes... The video did not talk about the origin of Hunyadi at all, but a Romanian instantly writes Romanian propaganda :) I see the Romanians always forget the other theories :) John Hunyadi (1406-1456) and his son King Matthias of Hungary played a great and very important role in the life of the Kingdom of Hungary. Hunyadi was a high-ranked member of the court of King Sigismund. Hunyadi was a great and famous Hungarian warlord, Voivode of Transylvania (1441-1446), and sole regent with the title of governor of the Kingdom of Hungary (1446-1453). The noon bell ritual came from Hunyadi's victory against the Ottomans at the Siege of Belgrade in 1456. The Second Battle of Kosovo in 1448 was a very important battle between a Hungarian-led Crusader army and the Ottoman Empire. In the three-day epic battle, the Ottoman army under the command of Sultan Murad II defeated the Crusader army of Regent John Hunyadi because the Romanians betrayed Hunyadi and switched to the Ottoman side on the battlefield on the third day of the battle. The Ottoman wings were pulled back as if to reorganize after the previous day's attacks, and the center was left alone on its original position as a ruse to lure the enemy. Hunyadi tried his chances and attacked. The concealed wings of the Ottoman army encircled the attacker, the Wallachians changed sides at this crucial moment. At this crucial moment Dan, the Wallachian (Romanian) voivode, although he and his troops were not affected by the Turkish attack from the front or the back, “sacrificing public affairs for his personal benefit, he made felt the instability of the Vlach (Romanian) loyalty with the Hungarians for the second time” he bargains with Grand Vizier Chalil and he got the promise of grace and reward in the name of the sultan from him, stands out from the battle line, thereby leaving an irreplaceable large gaping gap. The Ottomans despised such people who betray their allies in the battle. After the battle, the Wallachian (Romanian) army, 6000 men were massacred as the promised “reward of the betraying” by Sultan Murad II. Dan and his few remnant Wallachian soldiers swore fealty to Murad and the Sultan gave them grace. Murad ordered that he need to give 300 infantrymen and 400 horsemen each year to the Sultan. Battle of Varna (1444): Wallachia was a Hungarian vassal state, so they participated on the Hungarian side. However, the Wallachians plundered the Ottoman camps and left the battlefield. Hungarians almost won the battle under the leadership of John Hunyadi, but despite the order of Hunyadi, the young Hungarian king led a cavalry charge against the Ottoman center, the king was killed in the action, which collapsed the Hungarian army. Hungarians tried to flee to Hungary, the road led through Wallachia, and the Vlachs did not hesitate to stand on the side of the winner. The Vlachs began to beat, plunder, and hand over the Hungarians to the Ottomans. The Hungarian commanders like John Hunyadi and Michael Szilágyi were captured by Vlad II Dracul the Wallachian voivode. Palatine of Hungary threatened the Wallachian voivode with war and when Vlad got the news of the arrival of the 5 000-strong armored Hungarian cavalries, he released the Hungarian prisoners. When Hunyadi was released, he organized a retaliation campaign against Wallachia and he dethroned the Wallachian voivode. Hunyadi also drove a small Ottoman army out of Wallachia.

@@predacorneliu Funny the Romanians how ignore the other theories... John and Matthias was blonde... not a dark skinned dark haired smoky Romanian :) DNA will shows the truth Michael the Brave, Prince of Wallachia ruled a short time, for some months Transylvania in 1600 during a Habsburg-Hungarian conflict. He called himself chief of army in Transylvania and procurator of Habsburg Rudolph. This was a nightmare for the residents of Transylvania. The soldiers of Michael were murdering the Hungarians, killing the Székelys, the robberies and rapes became an everyday situation in Transylvania. At that time, Gyulafehérvár (Alba Iulia), the center of Transylvania was plundered. The grave of John Hunyadi in Gyulafehérvár (Alba Iulia) was also sacked, the tombstones of the Hunyadi family were smashed. The Romanians have also put Hunyadi in the national anthem of Romania as a “Romanian hero”. However, the majority of Hungarian historians refuse the Romanian origin. Ironically the Romanians scattered the bones of the Hunyadi family in 1918. Ironically mostly anti-Hungarian Romanians like to repeat: “Hunyadi Romanian!”. After this, they are unable to speak more things about Hunyadi… Ironically the tomb of John Hunyadi was robbed at the time of the short rule of Michael the Brave by the Romanians. Ironically Hunyadi had a lot of problems with the Romanians during his life. For example, the Romanians betrayed him several times during his anti-Ottoman campaigns. But I really do not understand why Hunyadi is so important for the Romanians. As we can see in the past Hunyadi was not at all important for the Romanians that is why the Romanians betrayed him several times and sacked his tomb. By the way, what did Hunyadi do for Romania or for the Romanians? Based on his act it is clear that Hunyadi loved Hungary, he had a lot of estates everywhere in the Kingdom of Hungary, he fought with all his money and in all his life for Hungary. Why do anti-Hungarian Romanians like a Hungarian hero who loved Hungary? Does somebody understand this contradiction?

@@aliengalaxy6096 Good, but Ioan, Mattias and his son Ioan, named after the Romanian tradition, which asks us to name our children after our grandparents, names his son Ioan, after his grandfather, they were all and will remain Romanian. Never and ever, no one called them anything other than Romanians, not Magyar Turks, not Cumans. It's normal that they are blond, European, but they can't be like the Magyar Turks from Mongolia. How can Magyars be blond, because the Turks can't be blond, that's not how it's written on the Hungarian crown: Bela I, king of the Turks.

@@predacorneliu The Hunyadi family was catholic not orthodox, Hunyadi's sister was Clara, Hungarian christian name, his mother and wife was Elizabeth, typical in Hungary, not in Romania. Hunyadi was John (Johannes, etc on documents), why John would be Romanian name? :) Greek poeam about the battle of Varna say: Hunyadi= John of Hungary Archeogenetic studies clearly shows vast majority old Hungarians were Europids and lot of them had blonde, red hair, blue, green eyes. Even Huns were mostly Europids according these studies. Even today Hungarians there are more blonde people than in Romania. Ironically todyay Romanians has more mongolian genes than today Hungarians :) unfortunatelly youtube delete my links, but I would be happy to show these results
