Күн бұрынMahekal Beach Resort is one of the first hotels established in Playa del Carmen and has managed to maintain an authentic Caribbean vibe despite being located in the center of the buzzing Playa del Carmen. It is a fairly small hotel with 195 rooms spread over a large jungle area. It features 3 restaurants, 3 swimming pools, 3 poolside bars, 1 games palapa and bar, a fitness center and a SPA.

Hi there came across your videos,There great and as we are looking to go to Mexico there are so many hotels to stay.Which hotel would you say is the best out of the 3 you showed in Mexico,really like the Fives but not really want to pay topend.

It's not great at the moment. It usually clears up by November.

Does all inclusive includes drinks as well? Some resorts do not.

So with the all inclusive option and 2 meal option, do they still include drinks or do neither include drinks?

The all inclusive packages includes drinks but the 2 meal option does not.

It's a small hotel so no need for shuttles :) They do have an all-inclusive option.

I was reading reviews of the resort. Many people complained of bugs in the room and a sewer odor. Do you find that to be true? Also, have all the restaurants and bars opened now?

Flying into Cozumel airport. What’s the best way to get to Mahekal?

Hey Ashley! You will have to grab the ferry from Cozumel over to Playa del Carmen. Then you can either walk down 5th Ave (20mins walk) or grab a cab from the ferry terminal (8mins drive). Enjoy!

How do you like this place compared to The Fives? My wife and I are going with no kids :)

Mahekal is more romantic and a lot quieter... It is also in the center of Playa so you can always to out on 5th to some of the fabulous restaurants. The Fives is larger with a lot more activities, with more modern bedrooms.
