New Mahindra Thar RWD is offered in three variants only. Diesel has two trims AX(O) and LX and Petrol has only one trim LX all in Hard top.
The Mahindra Thar now starts from Rs 9.99 lakh and tops at Rs 16.29 lakh (ex-showroom pan-India).
The Thar can now be had in six colour options: Everest White (New), Blazing Bronze (New), Aquamarine, Red Rage, Napoli Black and Galaxy Grey.
The 4WD variants of the Mahindra Thar get a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine (150PS/320Nm) and a 2.2-litre diesel engine (130PS/300Nm), both paired with a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic transmission. The RWD variants get a smaller 1.5-litre diesel engine (118PS/300Nm) instead of the bigger one which only comes with a six-speed manual transmission.
Features on board the Thar include a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, halogen headlights with LED DRLs, electrically controlled AC, and steering-mounted controls. Mahindra has also included a washable interior floor as well as detachable roof panels. For Safety it gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, hill descent control, traction control, rear parking sensors and a front seat belt reminder.
