I know I'm nobody to you, but I feel I should say this. If you and your friends are fine with it, there is no need to care so much about others, everyone is only alive this long, go have some fun and do the things you want to do. Society is filled with different people with very different thinking and mindset, there will always be people who are okay and not okay with whatever the hell you do, always. If you try to limit the things you do according to society, I doubt you can do much sh*t. I cared too much about how others or society thinks until I realized it simply does not matter, but of course, don't force anyone to do anything they don't want to and do not cause harm, etc., I'm not going to list every single thing that I think should not be done, I believe that is not required here and that's up to you, because everyone is different.

I never was told I couldn't go into a guy's bedroom. I had friends who were guys-straight and gay ones. It didn't make a lick of difference if I went to their bedrooms. AFAIK, he is a good guy.

Spoiler alert He liked Mahiru, thinking she was kind of similar to him and he could relate to her problems, but he gave up once he saw how caring Mahiru is towards Amane and that he knew he stood no chance between them, only Itsuki knew about this so he pretty much silently gave up.
