The Ethiopian and Assyrian churches are the oldest churches. I cry watching videos like such, i can only see the dedication and years of persecution to keep such traditions alive, pray for the assyrian's of Iraq, my brothers, and sisters.

All of the oldest Churches are persecuted. Alexandria and Constantinople (which I know wasn't among the first founded, but it's still one of the oldest) have also been minority Churches for many centuries.
BEAUTIFUL ❤ first time I'm seeing how one worship in the orthodox way. The sounds of ANGELS in my ears 🤗

How come people of color don't go to Orthodox church in the U.S.?
@Joe-qf8cq6 ай бұрын
@@lhu6971historical reasons, Ethiopia is East African, African slaves were brought from West Africa, and once over in America the slave owners were protestant. Henceforth the reason why most Blacks in America aren't Oriental Orthodox

What is "mahlet" ?
@wrestlinvids Жыл бұрын
Mahlet is ethiopian way of saying Praising God and "The" after the mahlet means for the celebration or holyday day of
@ahlulsuffiyah4888 Жыл бұрын
@@wrestlinvids I thought it meant ‘Feast’ As in a feast as a day of veneration of a Saint. Because this is similar to Muslims engaging in ‘Mawlid’

@@ahlulsuffiyah4888 Yep! means feast day also like a religious event. There are many definitions for it. All the "mahlets" start by chanting "sebuh" wich means God who is most Appreciated and Glorified. Then after, they go in to chanting about the specific feast day.

@@ahlulsuffiyah4888mahlet is derived from hallelujah it means to praise or to give thanks. It is done on feast days on saint days and on major occasions like easter and epiphany etc...
