I had to go over the ending a few times, it all happened too fast from my ears to my brain to know who was who and who did the crime!

In general complicated plot with many characters involved; difficult to understand.

Louise! I think that’s the first time I’ve heard her first name after a long lifetime reading (now listening to) Maigret novels. He usually refers to her as Mme Maigret.

Would love to be on that train, looking out the window at the changing landscape... The cat looks out-of-place - almost surreal, though?

@@maricamaas2326 I thought the same thing, however Knowing they, in those days, they allowed the wealthy travelers with their dogs and cats, to roam about the train uninterrupted. 🐈 Having a cat in the first class dining car would probably be unnoticed. M. IL. 🖤. USA

@@mwatts-riley2688 Interesting! Smoking of course was also allowed in public places. As long as I need not be inhaling the smoke; from this safe distance the puffing looks as calming as the cat 🤗
