As a USPS Employee I can say what they show in this video is the absolute easiest job in the Postal System. All jobs are extremely repetitive and you most likely will be working 60 hours a week 6 days a week minimum in most positions.

I just started as an FTR Mail Processing Clerk at a GMF and man, orientation was messy. I'm not used to being on my feet for almost 8 hours and I'm being told by literally everyone that it's going to suck for at least a couple weeks. But I really hope I get the hang of it quickly! I had to do this when I first started and I cannot throw the mail correctly, it's driving me nuts. I dropped like, 5 boxes because I tried to throw the mail and couldn't get it all out of the tray. I felt like a slowpoke, but I guess I need to cut myself some slack since it was my first day.

Bro every job takes time to get good at. Kids playing a video game take time to learn the controls, teachers learn how to teach, and youll learn how to sort and throw the mail because your mind will develop a thing for it.

I used to be a PTF Automation Clerk and now I'm a PTF Mail Handler. The Regulars are slow EVERYWHERE! If you are a hardworking PTF, you will be chosen to pick up the slack for others. You will also be the "floater" that learns EVERYONE'S jobs, so that you can do their jobs when they call in sick often, or on their days off. Slacker PTFs will only have to do a specific job, because they are not reliable. They will not be treated differently, because of this, which is unfortunate.

You can process mail a lot faster than 27KPH, but not the way this video shows. More important, there are plenty of ergonomic disasters shown here, both loading and sweeping, all USPS-approved and even demanded. I flip trays (verboten!) and run a DBCS alone whenever possible ... 21 years now and no injuries, but that's NO THANKS to idiot managers and overpaid desk jockeys in distant locations who want to dictate that I and others do the job in ways that are guaranteed to destroy bodies.
