I put hose over the handles of my ssq. Best idea I had. Gonna need to heat up the hose to fit over the handles, but will shrink when cool.

Oooo. I see a linear actuator operated quick attach in the works. Very Cool. You wont even have to get off of the tractor!

Awesome video Martin with some great tips on the SSQA. I don't have one on any of the Kubota's but I do on the New Holland skid steer...and yes, maintenance is important even if its only in the form of grease !! Dang, if you aren't meticulous in all your videos....

Thanks, Wendell! When I bought the L3901 I knew I wanted the SSQA option on the loader. The small trade off in lift capacity is well worth the added functionality. Thanks for watching!

@@DIYMyWay Oh heck yeah, I agree 100% Martin. I didn't have the option on either of the last two Kubotas because I bought them used from the same old buddy that didn't purchase them with it. And my first one I bought new in '82 with no loader. Sure is nice on the skid steer changing between the two types of buckets, a home made rock or root digger and the forks.

If all goes according to plan, this one should be VERY cost effective. I did some more testing today with a more permanent rig and confirmed that the linear actuator will both lock and release the SSQA, so I’m getting excited about it! Thanks for watching!

Another great video Martin, thanks! Instead of grease on the pivot points and locking pins I’ve always used a spray dry lube on all those points every time I grease the loader pins, about every 8-10 hrs. That’s a pretty hostile environment that sees dirt, sand, etc falling all over those areas, and I figured dry lube would be less likely to attract and hold on to such abrasives. Either way works, just as long as it gets done. I’m pretty religious about keeping mine lubed, because when I met my wife she had a 5 year old 47 hp Branson she bought new and her husband at the time (an engineer no less) didn’t own a grease gun. It took me a week of hammering and two cans of WD-40 and Liquid Wrench to break those pins and pivot points loose, and ever since then any tractor I own the SSQA gets oiled like clockwork. Experience is indeed a great teacher. Keep making these excellent videos my friend, you do us all a great service! 👍

We actually got our Grand L 3560 with the hydraulic power option for the skid steer. I just grease the zerts every 10 hours when I do the test of the loader and tractor. However, I am going to ask the dealer on what you did with your manual handles when I have it on for the 50 hour service coming up soon. I asked the dealer if I could see them do it so I understand how everything works 💪 👷‍♂️ better. I'm adding this toy list of questions. LOL.

Martin great minds thing a like. I'm working on building the same thing. So I don't have to get off the tractor with my bad foot to attache different things. By any chance are you using a12v Linear Servo that's what I'm using? Looking forward to seeing how you make yours. Later

@@DIYMyWay I figured the cheep way was to use a heavy duty Linear Servo. This will be a whole cheaper then going with the hydraulic hoses and fittings Later.
