This is a technical art! Great job. I watched at your work with great enjoy! Very interesting your technical drawings. For me unusual to see the sizes in inches (I specially stopped video for see attentively). In general, all is clear, accessible and easy to use. It's cool! Thank you!

Our entire shop went with wireless crane pendants. I know it's not the point of the video but watching you load the VTL with the wired pendant reminds me of the battles I had with mine loading a large horizontal. Watching the pendant swing far away when I accidentally let it go 🤣

Yeah, I don't think they're gonna go for it any time soon, but I hear you about letting go of the controller, and you're holding the piece cause it's kinda moving on you.

using chains is hardcore .... I mostly see ppl using those plastic roundslings these days...;)

I only use it for a large material removal. That's where it shines 😅

Impressive material removal with fix8. It creates huge load on the machine, our old Yoji doesn`t handle it. What´s your thought on this insert?

Almost a full ton of chips per part. Impressive. That FIX8 chip was viscous! You run the parts start to finish on both the VTL and Boring mill? What did the job take you? At least a week?

I only did the turning. I think it was 7 days, setting it up, programming and machining.

Zawsze mnie ciekawiła jedna rzecz.. Bo oprawka do nozy była pusta więc jak mierzysz narzedzia ? Na wióra ? I z jakiej stali jest zrobiony chwyt do noży ten długi ? bo jest mega sztywny a jest tez dosyć długi ;D zero wibracji ani nic nie ma :D

I notice that you started with a 100º corner of a CNMG, does that insert do a better job cutting through the mill scale than the FIX8?

Pi Tape inch tapes have a diameter accuracy of ± 0,001" up to 144 inches.

@@ChrisMaj bravo sir! I wish I knew how to use manual guide. I just program using basic canned turning cycles. G71/G72/G75/G76 on a 31i. I know our lathe has manual guide. I have no idea how to use it though.

U use 950-6000 hankook manual lathe and i make big and long shaft If u say yes, than i will buy it

If you do a lot of roughing of a big parts and your machine can handle it, you can give it a try.

2:14 - miszczu złocisty... posuw to będzie 0,76 mm/ obr.... ;-) ("Ciągle pracuje, wszystkiego przypilnuje - i jeszcze inni, niektórzy, wtykają mu szpilki - to nie ludzie, to wilki!" To byłem ja, Jarząbek : ) EDIT - znaczy, jeśli 0.030 in jest poprawną wartością, bo po namyśle to jednak refleksja mnie naszła, że 7,6mm/obr przy obwodzie ca 3,5 m to raptem 2 mm z groszami na metr bieżący materiału... no ale wtedy trza poprawić to 0.030 in. EDIT 2/ Korekta: Jak to mówią Rosjanie, "pośpiech jest dobry przy sraczce" (спешка хороша при поносе) - w 2:51 widać "jak byk", że feed to 0.030 in/rev.

@@ChrisMaj He he...a mówiom, że Hameryka będzie się metryfikować... Znaczy, "sooner or latter", co z kolei przypomina mi tą definicję słówka "baatme" (Hindi) - "to coś jak meksykańska 'mañana', ale z mniejszym naciskiem na pośpiech". Ale grunt, że wyszło dobrze - "Ende gut, alles gut" : )

I'm trying to show as much as I can, but I'm just doing all this on a fly. If we do the entire assembly, then I'll show it if I can, and a lot of times, it's just one-offs, and I don't even know where they go or what they do.
