The MBA just isn't far enough in price from the nontouchbar Pro imo. 100USD more gets you the P3 gamut, 200 more nits, 20% faster CPU, 50+% faster GPU, better speakers, and not dissimilar battery life. If the Pro gets an update to T2 and Butterfly 3, it would run away with the value crown even more. The Air would make more sense at 250 dollars below the Pro.

2560 x 1440 is 16:9 1440p. For a 16:10 it would be a 2560 x 1600. My late 2013 MBP is 2560 x 1600, as were my Dell 3007WFP and U3011 monitors, both 16:10.

Correction. Matebook 13 only has a 8-Gb Ram. That's the reason I am waiting for Matebook 14.

AFAIK, the Matebook 13 only comes with 8GB RAM non expendable. Great ultrabook though, the full 25W dGPU is a game changer at this size.

How can you do a review and not even mention the touchscreen on the Matebook? That alone wipes the floor with the screen on the MacBook. Hardly something you should have missed out, really. Weird!

I don’t think it’s ridiculous to release the Matebook with shorter battery life. They designed a super-thin option for people who need more power from a highly portable machine. It’s a trade-off. I would prefer a balance between the two. 11.5 hrs is more than I need. 6 hrs might not be enough.

I have the HUAWEI matebook 13 2020 version. And I’m loving it. The battery lasts for 6 to 7 hours but that’s just fine for my daily tasks 👍🏽and I didn’t have any issues with the trackpad.

Huawei Matebook13 is a great device and is surely giving competition to the MBA and many other models from Dell & HP. At a lower price, the performance is bigger at many of the areas, but it will certain need more refinement including a longer battery life and an expansive memory. Its just that Huawei had raised the bars on ultrabook specs, which will force manufacturers come out with much better machines with the technology under evolution. Opinions & preferences may vary with user as it depends on the task they are putting for their machines.

In terms of Battery life - its not like my Mac- but its not too bad i get around 6 -7 hours- but the charger is very small and USB-C (Fast Charge) so not a deal breaker... i would say- very good laptop for productivity.

the retina screen looks better with that stupid True Tone turned off on any apple devices personally. but overall the MBA isn't a nearly as bad as its older counterparts it gives you across the board better performance than a mid 2012 MBP 13" i5 with a ssd I just did the tests it is close in all cases exept valley where the old 4000 HD graphics are a slide show around 10FPS and I agree the new keyboard is a terrible addition and that it needs to go back to the old one its why my 2012 13" is still my everyday it was $300 and I put another $300 into it with 16Gb of ram and dual 480gb ssds. the retina screen isn't even important to me at this point and size since I don't watch movies on here (4k fire box on a tv) I watch youtube, browse the internet and do work in google docs with it and its superb for everyday and I bet the AIR is also.

Matebook also have a touchscreen which you didn't mention it in entire video. If you are talking about touchpad you should also show that it have a touchscreen. Trust me when you have a touchscreen you will reach for it more often than not, especially through web browsing.

I have got the new Matebook 13 2020 - with AMD 3500U - with 16GB of RAM - its quite nice and fast- I got it for 900$ have to say I enjoy the windows experince of this Huawei.

i just bought one i5 version and I think it has heat problem. my laptop's fans keep on running most of the time. and the heat coming from it sometimes unbearable. anyone faces this as well?

Hey waj, the matebook may run longer if you disable 2 cores and run only on 2 cores rather than full 4 cores to have a fair competition in video playback. You can do this to improve the battery life

Got a MateBook D 14inch, trackpad is not as good but maybe is a Windows thing, but anyways got it for $659 with the mx150 graphic card, nothing crazy but works great and I got some great battery life around 8 hours

I have macbook pro 15 inch which i am using since 2016. Last week i bought lenovo y7000 which is a gaming beast. After using it for a couple of days i feel so bored. I was not enjoying windows at all. So i went back for my macbook again. Macbooks are expensive but trust me its worth it in every way. Do not buy this HUAWEI matebook or whatever. There is no comparison with macbooks. They are just awesome, premium build quality, awesome display, awesome speakers, amazing touchpad. I would suggest to go for a pro version rather than air

Macs in general just have a longer life span than any windows computer and its great build quality and hardware and amazing OS with great security, that is what you are paying for on macs. Most window computers will be cheaper but wear down within a year and windows just isn't as good
