When I watched your first episode, I was captured by a beautiful young woman and her baby daughter videoing her explanation of the huge journey she and her family was about to take on. The harmony and love that flows between them as they work with a team effort like no other and the wonderful way that they are raising their children makes an example of the perfect young American family who are willing to work hard to obtain their own objectives, and in doing so, teach us to be better people. Baldhead Island is in my neck of the woods. Hope you all enjoyed the beauty. I know I loved visiting WV and many other states. I know you guys love the A-Frame look, but they are a LOT harder to build than a standard home. This is not a criticism, I say it to help you. It does give your home a unique look.

Actually the A-Frame was quite complicated due to endless angles 🤣 However, when researching an A-Frame build it was presented as easy. The addition is not as complicated as it looks, just a big job.

I figured one of the main goals of the A frame was to get out of the RV, so what was presented as easier was a factor. Now with the breathing room, the ease of building is probably less of a concern, but it's more about what is doable. It is their dream home afterall.

Once you extend the exterior bedroom wall 10' out, you may want to consider creating a small balcony that could be accessed from the new dormer. It would however, require using a sliding glass door in palce of the new window.

Welcome to Cape Fear. I grew up in the region about 90 minutes away from there and visited all the time. Back then it was a lot more wild and wonderful, not built up much at all. Life didn't get much better. Now I'm old and we've moved to upstate New York on our next (probably last) big adventure and are just days away from finishing up our own home on our 30 acres.
