Not everyone is cut out to be a business owner.. recognize your limitations and focus on your strengths.. I see this type of thing happening all the time, a guy gets into OO type trucking and makes a little money then thinks if he had another truck he’d make twice the profit.. and so it begins as he quickly starts chasing the “cash flow” of more trucks in order to stay ahead of all the payments, what they don’t want to admit to themselves is that cash flow is actually negative cash outlay and the moment there is a hiccup in revenue they are bankrupt.. Successful companies are not built overnight.. I’m assuming this guy committed suicide in the end and that in itself shows he didn’t possess the right stuff to survive the cut throat trucking industry…

So sorry for everyone 0n the loss of Lane. I fully respect the updating by Preston on what happened. I pray for all that knew him and were there for him. It is hard when a person goes through what Lane did and it is even harder for those that feel like "I f only I could have been there for him" or I wish Lane "could be more open on how he is feeling" and that he needs help. I have been in those shoes and it is not easy. Rest assured that Lane knew as well as others that truckers are solid and they care for each other. People "will" and "do listen.". It is just up the person to talk about it and help him heal properly. But my heart and prayers go out not only to Lane, but for those that reached out to him. "God bless our truckers"

You need to preach to every driver out there. If you bid a load they need to stipulate that they get paid for being replaced. If every driver did that no one would get replaced. If there are drivers that won't then they need to be called out as not trustworthy! Drivers will prevail with what they do, but every driver needs do do the same thing!

In my time on this earth I’ve had very close friends either die from cancer or took themselves out. All the while smiling and cracking jokes. I make it a duty of mine not to just “check up” on them but to double check. So far I’ve had one friend who has opened up to me and told me that I’ve kept him from unaliving himself. Although I go through stuff as well I know most people aren’t as grounded as I am and I always try and give an ear. Especially in the moment I get that whisper in my head to ignore them I make it my duty to listen right then and there, and if I can lend a hand. These are wild times we live in. A lot of times when I’m alone I think of those that I’ve lost and I mean I’ve lost a lot of good friends in my life. Some were coo coo for coco puffs but I was still there. Even when I was homeless I still took time out to care for those around me or not around me. In other words, don’t just check up but double back and make sure. We all say life is short but we don’t act like it day to day and I’m talking to the “head strong” people out there. I even think about the drivers who died in their truck 😢.

Boy I know what that feeling is like, I was close ,but for some reason the day I was on the edge my doctor happen to be going to work I turned around and followed her to her office and we had a chat and she made some phone calls even offered to drive me to a therapist but I got there and for every week for 4 years I saw my therapist and she was a blessing got me involved in some activities made some friends and everything is fine, but the last few years in this industry has been a struggle and it is definitely pushing depression levels. I don’t wish ill on anybody because I can’t cast any stones because I live in a glass house myself, but don’t be under any illusion that we are a righteous country. Homelessness. Homosexuality. Godlessness. Foreign invaders. Last time I checked, that was the fall of the Roman Empire. Like I said, I don’t wanna see my country fall, but everything is happening from within. I think it's better to make as much money as you can and move to a third world country that doesn't have so many evil powers in the background working against you. You can establish a trucking business or whatever there for less money and less rules and live like a King or Queen
