A major Russian ammo base exploded today in Voronezh from a Ukrainian drone attack, with hundreds of tons of ammunition going up in the massive explosion. Meanwhile an Iranian frigate sank in Bandar Abbas today because a major design flaw on the vessel. Russian forces are desperately trying to hold the Vovchansk area although the situation in worsening. meanwhile in Bakhmut and Avdiivka heavy fighting carries on.

I did watch the streaming with 22 hour delay today.. I had a very special reason for that.. My 15-year-old cat died on the morning of the 8th of July 2024. It was a very tough day for me today. I'll be here tomorrow like usual but unfortunately alone this time. In reference to Enforcer Matts inquiry into the Halifax explosion photos in 1917, my grandparents were from halifax and I remember seeing the newspaper photos and accounts they were showing my parents when i was a child in the 1960’s.

It is Called a Sonar dome . (I worked on them) Improper valve lineup when moving water between tanks etc, adjusting ballast etc could have easily caused a top heavy ship to turtle like this did. Take a peek at USS Long Beach if you want to see a properly engineered cruiser. Lol😂

Navy ships, apart from supply ship and carriers, use a smaller bulb just for sonar. Bulbous bows are designed for a ships cruising speed, to make them more efficient at moving through the water. However, at lower or faster speeds the same bulbous bow can increase drag causing more fuel to be used at those speeds.

It is added for cutting through the water and making it more fuel efficient but some do add sonar to detect subs and the bottom.

Radar systems have unique signatures (even within same models) - whatever the Chinese are supplying will probably rather go much harder to track an proof land or sea routes. (and they much rather supply components than fully assembled systems) Actually the capacity of that Chinese aircraft looks rater impressive - it might kinda limit their theoretical upper weight limit for MBT´s a bit if having them air liftable is a major concerne. I would see them seeking relations with Belarus in a whole different way - one of the major results of the war with Ukraine is that Russia lost it´s role as a world power. The most logical course is for them becoming a Chinese proxy. (unless Putin somehow get´s replaced by somebody pro western) Getting closer ties with Russias only real remaining allies is a bit of power play in that direction maybe. For one to show the Russians who is actually boss and on the other hand to ensure Belarus that just because Russia looks a bit weak is not really a reason to maybe become part of the West....

To put how badly the Iranian navy mishandled that refit, you only need 1 ton of ballast in the keel to for every 10 tons added above the water line to keep it balanced. It's not a complicated thing to do correctly.

They are just to incompetent if you watch the flow of things during this war.. I do believe that the west should stop be such time sucking leaches and send the F16’s in already.
