I have been developing MMVR over the last year since the beta release. Since then, I have successfully modded 1st person perspective throughout the entire game, I have almost entirely removed camera shaking, and I fixed nearly every bug in the beta version. A few minor issues still remain but they aren't bad. I mention them in the README of the download above.
MMVR was a serious challenge and much harder than OoTVR because of the increased complexities with Majora's Mask code as well as the lack of documentation online for Majora's Mask modding. Regardless, I was able to create an incredible VR experience that will allow you to play the entire game start to finish 100% from the perspective of Link in any form!

Playing a song for the Gossip Stones in the Ikana Trials solves the puzzles in the next room (although I only knew that was the case for the Song of Storms.). Note that in the heart piece room the door was already open. Normally you need a bombchu for the crack in the ceiling that hides an eye-switch.

Love your work Brian! :)Can this work on the Quest 2/3 with out a treadmill? Some of us can't afford a Treadmill. T_T How do you configure DolphinVR with out treadmill support?

The only reason I don't play these mods is because links arm is culled out and so is the sword, but mostly because this rom desperately needs a memory hack that will adjust links position based on the headsets without relying on thumbstick turning.

I understand your complaints. I also wish these issues could be addressed but sadly it's not that simple since we're working with a 20+ year old game designed for an even older system with no VR architecture. I did "hire" an expert in MM modding to at least try to make a mod where Link's arms and weapons are visible and in first person. Sadly they couldn't do it after 8 months of trying (I continued working on other parts of this mod during this time) and I ended up not using any of their work. Even if they did succeed, it would have introduced a plethora of other issues such as the shield clipping in and out of view, masks blocking your face when worn, nauseating head bobbing, headless views of Link during cutscenes, and likely more. An AAA version of this game with motion controls, 6dof, etc. would require reworking this game from the ground up with a team of experts in both MIPS assembly (MM decomp isn't finished and even then the CE version is a different ROM entirely) and OpenXR. I made this by myself with some help using SceneTatl thanks to the Hylian Modding community and at no charge. It's the best I could do and I promise it's still an amazing experience for Zelda fans once you get used to the controls and accept the few imperfections.

@BrianMp16 can MMVR or OOTVR be packaged for standalone VR headsets with the new Quest3 being out now? Would love to see that like the DooM ports to sidequest. Excellent work BTW.

This looks really awesome! Would it be possible to somehow bind the sword attack to a swing motion with the controller? I know it wouldn't really be motion controls, but it would add a little extra immersion.

Looks really cool. Might try it even tho my VR set is a bit old (first gen Vive). Without having tried it it looks like the camera is a bit low? Ig there's a good reason for it?

Downloaded the mod from Mega but there is no guide inside the zip. Only a readme with some workarounds and nown bugs. Do I only need the game, also DolphinVR? How to install?
