Jenny thank you for saying that we may leave a suggestion about a design. My first thought was "A Field Of Poppies". Could you imagine all red leaves with a black center. How stunning. I do like the idea of placing yellow in the center and placing them randomly here and there instead of doing every single one yellow. Love Your Videos - I have been watching you from the beginning ~ you have changed my world Jenny ~ thanks ~ janet

She has encouraged so many quilters with her tutorials. I have so much fabric and so many tutorials to follow - if I live to be 100, I'll probably not get all of them done. I could watch her tutorials all day - so informational and neat ideas. I'm all about quick, but nice, too. Keep up the good work, Jenny!

I would want to use green as the background but here in Australia red poppies have become the flower for Anzac Day [our version of Veteran's Day] and I think a memorial quilt would be a wonderful idea :) so thank you for sparking my creativity :) P.S. I adore the MSQC videos, I stumbled across Jenny by accident and now I want to learn how to quilt!!!

I do so enjoy this whimsical quilt design! While still watching, I just started typing my comment about an idea I had of using scraps of yellow on only the left side of the 'house' unit, which would become a yellow 'centre' for the flower, when I heard Jenny explain the exact same idea. Great minds think alike! (And eager commenters should wait till the end of the video before posting their comments). Thanks MSQC! ~Diana from Toronto

I love this quilt. Well, I love them all, however I keep telling myself I can't start one until I finish one, but... you know how that goes. I started a Pins and Paws the other day. I thought I was going to find enough different fabrics that would look sort of like kitties, but I realized if I tried to do that I wouldn't make much of a dent in my stash, so some will look more like the real deal (sort of), and some may look like they got tangled in a flower bed. One of my boys told me it was a good thing I didn't go into genetics after I made a stuffed pig out of blue plaid flannel. Dizzy Daisy is definitely on my to do list.

This would be great as a stash buster. If you have 4 ten inch squares leftovers hanging around, add 5 inch squares at corners instead of 2.5 inch. It would be a great medallion style quilt. Just add a border or 2 and VOILA baby quilt done. And don't forget to sew the extra line on the corners and you get extra hst for another project. No waste.

when doing this type of piecing I will put on the first row sashing strips on three sides with corner stones in place with the last one all four sides, then on the other rows up from the bottom I do side and top with the one corner stone in place this save me a lot of time and fewer long sewing lines where it is possible to mess up the line of the seams
