What do you do with all your deer hides??? In this video, I make a fleshing beam in order to start the process of tanning deer hides, mounting a buck, or making rawhide and leather products. Always aim for the Vital Point with Andrew Penzi, harvest some deer, and lets get started.

Wow great fleshing beam! You can open a business and give the people I dropped my hide off to be tanned 9plus months ago some competition! Thanks for putting out another informative video!

I think they sold your hide to China. It’s crazy how long they take, but that seems to be the norm. You’re right, I’ll have to practice and start charging.

Great video Andrew! You're so darn creative. And I know you have carpenter genes to boot. Hey this brought back memories of my sending some bullit ridden deer hides to Wisconsin for processing. They came back great, and Ron Jr. has them on two Ward Bennett Brickel chairs I used to rep. Very soft and supple. Cost about $35 bucks plsu UPS shipping many years ago. So, my questions is, could we use this device to strip the hair of a wild boar?

Absolutely! Used it this weekend and it was great. I’d like to make some buckskin for random projects. Need to find more uses for this stuff. I hate throwing the hides away.
