I've noticed the "what you'll need" portions of videos lately have been changing. Whoever thought of this on, it's the absolute best. I hope this format is used on ALL videos going forward - It shows the traditional list on the white background for a moment, then Jenny lays out each item so you know exactly what is used where (no more wondering what yardage is border vs background!). Seriously, whoever formatted this one needs a pay on the back, it's perfect.

I love ideas for using my charm packs. When I first started my quilting journey about five years ago, I bought scads of charm packs, but quickly graduated into strips, fat quarters, and yardage. Needless to say (but I will anyway!), I have a lot of charm packs that need a project - and now they do! Thank you so much, Jenny! As always, you've shared another adorable project!

Thank you SO much for bringing the green fabric requirements screen back! I also like the way you have laid out the tools and fabrics before you start sewing. It's like making an outline before you write a story. I love the quilt and I think I'm going to use extra charms to make it a rectangle. This quilt would look really cute, too, just using block A repeated across the rows to make the quilt look like it has propellers or windmills. Sweet!

I made my grandchildren some snowman pillowcases like that in early December, and they are still using them. It’s nice when someone appreciates your work, but I was just thinking that this granny needs to make some for spring and summer! I think it is worth taking the extra few minutes, though, to do a French seam to make it neat and today and to prevent fraying.

I agree with French seams. I also sew down the flange with a straight stitch almost kissing the edge: it looks so professional, and stays flat so you don’t need to iron the pillowcases- just fold right out of the dryer. Nice and smooth.
