::::::::::::::::::::
Ingredients:
9oz. chicken broth
5-6 oz. chow mein
1 tsp oyster sauce
1/2 tsp dark soy sauce
1/2 tsp sugar
some broccoli
2 chopped mushrooms
4 baby corns
1/4 sliced carrots
1/4 sliced zucchini
1/4 chopped small onion
Method:
1. Precook the vegetables, meats and noodles in boiling water.
2. Heat the wok or pan with some cooking oil, then start making the crispy chow mien. Shape it like a pancake and remember to flip the other side. Once both side are even cook and crispy, set it on a plate.
3. Prepare the wok and pan with oil, ginger and garlic to create aromatic flavour. Toss in the cooked vegetables and meats before adding chicken broth, sugar, oyster sauce, dark soy sauce and mixture of potato starch with water. (Ratio 2:4 tsp of potato starch:water)
4. Once the broth turn to thick sauce, pour the vegetables and meat sauce on top of the crispy chow mien.
Enjoy!

it looks good and one of my favorites and have always gotten since i was a kid because my folks would get it for us at the chinese reataurant for takeout. i cannot the canton style anymore because our local restaurants make a different style that i find too watery for my taste so maybe i will try it myself because i'm a decent cook. thnx.

in the video you add minced garlic and minced ginger, but those are not listed in the recipe. can you modify the recipe to reflect those ingredients and the amount of each? It looks like a tablespoon of each.

Any starch will do. Most restaurants use corn starch. I've used tapioca starch and even all purpose wheat flour in a pinch. My tip would be make a lot of gravy. I intentionally make more than I think I need and still come out short sometimes.
