there is a Blender addon called Rigify for MB-Lab, and with it you can get the hips and all other controls you get lots more animation functionality. However, to animate the chest (breasts), you must have the arm extended out, otherwise those control are hidden.

Can we use these same methods for the last project ( the last female character you made)?
@AlimayoArango
@AlimayoArango 3 жыл бұрын
As far as the last tutorial I did with the female character model, what I show here with the ears being made to look like elf ears will work with that model. You can use the methods of making clothes from that tutorial for this MB lab character. The hair from my last tutorial would work for this tutorial as well however since the character is more realistic in this video tutorial I don't think the hair would look quite right. That being said I do think some hair cartoony or not is better than no hair. I do know of a way of making realistic hair that is good for animation that would work with this MB Lab character. I actually thought about showing how to do that for this video. Thanks for watching this video Rab.

just download the fbx of the animation u want (download without skin) and set the bones to copy the fbx animation in the NLA editor (label the posed animation as its action for example punch kick, then in the nla editor with the md labs selected import new track search for punch kick or whatever u called it, hat works nicely) thing to note is to have a model of you fbx with ITS bones uploaded to miximao so that the movement's can be applied without issue

Hi Alimayo Arango im having an issue trying to create my own shape key on 33:26. In on object mode I select the Expression_mouthSmile_max and set a value off 1.00 and the model smiles, I then go ahead and select the shaded down arrow key to add a shape form + New Shape From Mix this creates Key 82. I select Key 82 and then switch to sculpt mode I grab the Elastic Deform to change the eye brows and noting happens. What could I possibly be doing wrong, I'm trying this out on 2.90.1. I cant tweak the mesh in sculpt nor in edit mode using proportional editing, I tried setting the cursor to center, and applying scale rotation transform and that didn't work. It wont let me tweak anything eh? happen to any one else? What could i DO?

Thanks for the ideas :) As with most oft these tutors - waaay to much irrelevant stuff ;)) Sculpting, view port settings, hiding / unhiding ... this has nothing in common with character animation (hope you get me; for further tutors try to focus on the thing you want to show) Due to my opinion to much "this bone here, and this bone here". You should mention which bone this is. For the animation itself you should know something about the skeleton mechanics. You didn't take care about this at all. First I recognized: You have always set all transformations to "Global" while posing the character. This is wrong. Each bone has its local coordinates and using these makes the posing much more efficient. Second: You almost always use "G". "R" is very powerful if used where it makes sense. For instance: Having your character sitting in an armchair - try to create the relaxing position with the palms of the hands behind the neck ;)) With your method you will end up with the hands behind the neck and the pinkies showing towards the neck. Changing transformations to "Local" and rotating the hand bone around it's Y-axis would align the palms with the neck. BTW: You rotate the hips by rotating the Lower Spine Bone around its local Y axis. All bones in the MBLab skeleton go along the Y-axis. BTW2: I didn't find a way to make an "I don't know" movement with the shoulders. Maybe this is impossible. The rig has no shoulder controllers.
@AlimayoArango

Hi Frank thanks for the tips especially about the hips. As far as irrelevant information in the tutorial, I learned long ago that if I make tutorials that are useful to myself then they tend to be useful to other people. My thoughts for this tutorial were how can I explain what someone needs to have a customized face plus body rig character that they can use for work quickly. Long story short I think most of the subscribers come to this channel to hear the step by step what and why instructions that I give that some might find irrelevant. Thanks again Frank for the tips.
