Abi and Roz take you on a painting journey of primulas as spring has felt like a long time coming, so it feels good to be teaching you how to paint flowers.
Abi and I are both really passionate about painting and truly believe that anyone can enjoy art with the right tuition and encouragement.
You can pause the videos as you go and do the classes as many times as you like. Some of our attendees like to do them a few times to refine their technique.
Abi will be painting in Winsor and Newton watercolour on watercolour paper with two round brushes. Below are some links for suggested suppliers. We suggest starting with 12 pan of colours, but you could splash out and buy one with 45 colours!
Have all your materials ready and if your paints are new, please make sure all the packaging inside is removed.
You will need:
A jar or mug of water
Kitchen roll or tissues
A pencil
A rubber
2 good quality brushes, these really help with the washy strokes (1 x size 12 round brush & 1 x size 4 round brush)
1 x pan of watercolours (or tubes of watercolours)
A3 pad of watercolour paper
2 sheets of scrap or copy paper to test the colours
A hairdryer to dry your work (optional)
The classes we have available to buy online are in sets of 5 which can be watched anytime and as many times as they like. 5 classes are £30 and one class is £10.
Abi is teaching ‘Victorian favourites’ watercolour flowers. There are 3 live classes remaining hosted every Saturday on zoom at 11am. With every live class, students also receive a recording later the same day which allows you do the class if you miss it or again should you want to refine your technique.
