Thanks for the great content again my dudes. Next up, how to lead and/or checkraise on 456tt? Or how to play vs leads on flops good for the big blind 😁

One critical thing to recognize is most villains will overfold to a CR... there is NO WAY an avg villain calls KQhh on j 6 4 ssd facing CR... on the turn, their range becomes much stronger as a result since they have fewer pure floats... some rec villains won't defend Atdd on j 6 4 ssd to a CR... my homework for next week is to node lock their calling range and see

I love these. Nice refreshers from modules I’ve studied in the lab. I’d actually think a refresher module in the lab that goes over many concepts quickly might be worthwhile

Dangerous stuff! Like a golfer changing swing, takes some practice/ learning. I foresee a lot of rec players check raising J 6 4 ssd with 85hh... 🙂

If their opponent c-bets too often, that might actually work out for them...assuming they listened closely to this episode and know how to proceed on different turns.

Not a bad play, will fold out king and ace highs at a high frequency

Excellent episode. I`ve found myself many times on the turn after having XR-ed and don't knowing what to do. Ofc it`ss easy if you hit your draw or have a clue hand, but if not ... That's hard.

You left us hanging on the K82 rainbow board at the end. What are the 2 turns that give us a (slight) equity advantage? 6 that brings a back door flush or something?

quick question... when you say OVERBET, what size do you generally mean? pot? 1.5 pot? TIA

If you always use 133% when you overbet in any overbet situation you cannot go wrong :)

regarding the bluffs on the 2. turn, the example was KsTx/QsTx but did we check-raise those on the flop? also, on the 3. turn, how are we balancing our checking range so we don't just get pushed out of the pot? if the villain bets into us sensing weakness, which is likely, what are we calling with? especially, what are we calling with that can still call on enough rivers when facing another bet? I'm guessing second or third pairs as bluff-catchers...

Yeah, QsT and KsT type hands should be check-raised some of the time on J-6-4 with two spades. It's great to have cards that wrap around the jack and it's also great to block some of the flush draws they'll call with. As far as what you check and continue vs a bet with on the turn, I'm gonna leave that for Gary to answer.

@@UpswingPoker awesome, thank you. I noticed I wrote "pre-flop" instead of "on the flop" so I edited it as that's what I meant. thankfully you got it.
