@SteveMakesEverything You would have a blast making one and when it takes flight you'll feel like the Wright brothers did in 1903. I'm glad I got a cheap drone first to learn more about the components. Weight to power ratio seems difficult. The bigger the battery the longer the run time but then it has extra weight to carry. It's a tough one. Still learning though. Once I finish building it i can finally attend events I'm not invited to 🥳🤣

@@ThatGuyWithTheLaser I flew RC planes for many years, so it's not totally alien to me. Drones are much easier to fly since gyros keep them under control

My attempt at this looked good at first but after light use the engraving lost the white color. Is there a paint/filler which will stay in place? Thanks

You could clear coat it, but if it is rubbing off add a bit more power to deepen the engraving

What type of cases are you engraving. Silicone, metal, ...? Also, the cheapest cases I can find run $12 and up.

Well I mostly do custom work so I don’t have that sort of inventory issue, but keep a few for the phones that the most people have. E.g. iPhone 15, the latest Galaxy etc. I wouldn’t say store dozens of these, but a couple of the common colors like black, blue or grey are safe bets. Unless you are engraving live at a craft fair, then you really want to use these as show pieces and take orders. This way you minimize the need to carry 8 colors for 10 different phones with each of your designs on them. Over time you’ll discover the popular designs, colors and phone and can have more of those pre-made for events.
