I'll never forget how when my channel was pretty new and I sheepishly asked you a question about what materials might make good water effects and you immediately called me and chatted with me for a while as I walked through home depot, giving me a full rundown on what would work well and why. You have always been incredibly generous with your vast wealth of knowledge and your status as an all time legend in this space is graven in stone for eternity. Your impact and influence can never be understated! I wish you all the best in your next adventure. Love Love Love brother

I lost my job a while back during the lock-down here in the Rep of Ireland, and started painting other people's minis for them, and hit burn out earlier this year, myself, due to the amount of time I spent painting other people's minis but not actually enjoying myself anymore. So I gave up full-time painting, started doing other stuff that interested me outside of the painting/hobby world, and made new contacts, new interests, and life just began anew for me. I do still paint minis (I have the three new sets of Zombicide Undead Or Alive slowly being painted for my own collection on the table) for myself and others, but only on a part-time basis now, and am back having fun, but not under as much pressure as before due to other people setting time limits for me to finish minis in. It's amazing what a change can do for you, so I applaud your own decision to change your professional work from making KZfaq videos and all their amazing content. It's sad to see you go, but if you've hit the wall, you've hit the wall, and need a break from the norm. So hopefully you'll find future happiness in your new job, will find your hobby interests renewed again once you're no longer under so much pressure to produce so much in a certain time, and your terrain making business will also hopefully thrive along with you. I've followed you for a good few years now, and you've inspired me so much to experiment, create and explore so much in the hobby, that seeing you leave will hurt, but it's a good kind of hurt, as we aren't "losing" you, as much as seeing you evolve into something more than just a terrain video maker and influencer. All the very best in your new endeavours, and also to you and your wonderful family and friends who helped you along your journey, and we'll all still be here, supporting you while you get on with your new phase of life. We will still have your history at our fingertips to link in and watch, and find even more inspiration from, as watching your videos just once isn't enough to get all the hints, tricks and experiments that you've shown down the years. Love to you and your beautiful family and friends, from ALL your fans, not just from me :-)

@@theandf Everyone here has missed one vital point. Try and do it and earn enough to feed your family, pay your bills and most importantly the taxman. And do it with no other means of income. Then tell me you find it therapeutic. all whilst: Sticking to tight deadlines Dealing with arsehole companies and people Filing your own tax returns Working way more hours than 40 a week with no overtime pay, you don't get paid if you don't work (no sickness pay or payed holidays) No guaranteed work or pay There is so much more going on behind the scenes than you'll understand until you have tried to monetize and live off your passions. Luke did extremely well to get this far, build a company around it that hires and pays his family.

Yo! Your content is what got me into enjoying the terrain part of mini painting. I have even started doing dioramas because ive learned to appreciate adding a cool setting to my cool little dudes. Keep on keeping on brother. Stay happy. Proud of anyone who moves on to more fulfilling things.

Learned a whole heap from you, and still learning from all your previous videos. Thank you for all your work. I hope wherever you next adventure comes you have an enjoyable time.

Absolute respect for making what is no doubt a tough choice and for all the amazing content over the years. Just want to say as a cautionary tale, as someone that works a "normal" job, it might not be the 'end to stress' that you hope it is. But I do wish you all the best and hope you are able to find something that brings joy into your life.

Very much true: the stress is actually in our own heads, not outside in the job. I manage to get stressful in any job and I manage not to give any fucks in any job, so yeah. Not related to the job itself.

Like everyone else says, you've done legendary work that will stand on its own for a long, long time. Here's hoping that you get back into this stuff at some point as a hobby rather than a job. Maybe it can be fun again that way. Best wishes, Luke.

Sorry to see you leave! I’ll have to watch this video again as I didn’t really take any of the build in, I was too busy processing that this is the end! You’ve been such an inspiration in both terrain building and painting. I wish you all the best for the future and hope you’ll consider dropping by here from time to time! Luv luv luv to you! ❤
